Apparently we had set voting date and time when we had to appear to vote, and if you missed it, you don't get to vote. Nowadays, just visiting the forum when you feel like it is just not enough, sigh.

I remember the good old days when we had a week or two in which to vote, and it was super-intense nail-biting suspense as the numbers between two or three different candidates slid back and forth from the lead as each sweat-drenched adrenaline-fueled day passed by in slow-motion agony.

These newfangled elections offend my old world sensibilities!
