Let's talk.
Could use some wine right about now. Or at least some stronger coffee.
Re: Let's talk.
Can't stand either wine or coffee.

Re: Let's talk.
But wine and coffee are sooooooooooooooooooo good......
Tea can be quite refreshing. It's not bad enough for you though.

Lies. They both taste disgusting.
Tea, on the other hand, if served with enough sugar, can be both unhealthy and tasty at the same time.

Sign of an immature pallette. I bet you put catsup on your hot dogs.
I've been a recent fan of the seasonal pumpkin creamer. It's nice subtle spice to coffee, requires very little sugar.

Mmmh... Ketchup on hotdogs. The only dressing a hot dog needs.
Been having this discussion with my sister. I'm an incredibly picky eater, and she was harping on about how I mustn't be able to taste much, which was conversely the reason why I hate tomatoes so much. Her only time she couldn't eat tomatoes being when she was sick once and her sense of taste was numbed down, so the taste of tomatoes wasn't enough to convince her mind that those slimy, disgusting, icky things were edible.
I didn't think that was why, though.

Christ, you're batting like 0-4 today.
This tomato thing I've only encountered on this board and I just don't get it. Truly make sandwiches and salads come alive.

Re: Let's talk.
It's not just tomatoes, really. I'm extremely picky. It's usually easier for me to list the things I will eat than what I refuse to touch. The worst (tomatoes, cheese, tuna) will actually make me retch.

Cheese!?!
You can find a place in your heart for hot dogs with catsup on them but not cheese?
My mistake. Obviously you have no heart.

Re: Let's talk.
Mustard truly is the way to go. Relish and onion really spruce it up as well. Chicago style dictates celery salt, tomato slices, and sport peppers, also, but those are secondary in my book.

I dunno. I've never felt like I missed out. Oranges, maybe. There was this one time we wanted to make fun of some Dutch people, and I couldn't participate. =(Dr Legostar wrote:i prefer mustard on my hotdogs. i really wish i did like tomatoes, but i just don't.

Re: Let's talk.
I can't think of any food that I never like. I'm not big on some raw vegetables. Specifically broccoli, cauliflower and green peppers; but I like them all cooked.
I'm kind of picky about the way I like some foods. Like I only like skinny hot dogs, I'll throw up if I try to eat a thick one. Really not sure why, perhaps it's some freudian thing.

Re: Let's talk.
well for me it's the same with peppers because i don't really like either tomatoes or peppers, but my parents grow tons of them and it always makes me sad that i just don't enjoy them.KWill wrote:Myth says I have the biggest heart she's ever seen ;_;Yeahduff wrote:Cheese!?!

How about peppers in fajitas? Y'know, grilled and seasoned with onions and chicken or steak? Brilliant stuff.

Re: Let's talk.
The only type of food I've eaten and outright didn't like is offal (and I've tried it a number of times). Well, I'm not big on over-sweet dishes or drinks either - that's kid's stuff. Otherwise, only poor quality ingredients or sloppy preparation will make me dislike a food. Food is a thing of joy, and variety is grand. I'm always interested in trying new kinds of food. To me, an important part of travelling is eating weird local dishes.
