You gots to isolate your variables here. What you're asking more acuretally is what effect fatigue has on cognition, to which I find it gets a tad harder to hold back inhibitions and perform metacognition to check oneself out of a lack of energy to do so. I'd say the answer is both. Its like how you'd make more mistakes driving or performing a sport tired than when you aren't.
