The first one is actually the one I've never seen, I saw the two after. As for the other straight to DVD releases, havent seen them, and they wont be discussed

I simply overheard some people at school talking about the pie scene in the original.
Um, yeah.

I'm pretty sure that's why I haven't seen it.

There's a healthy amount of that embarrassment type stuff, but that's not all it is. Like I said, it's decent, but it's nothing I'm gonna stand behind.

It pretends to be Porky's, tries hard to actually be Porky's II: The Next Day, but ends up being Porky's Revenge.

I haven't seen the Porky's movies, either. But I have seen "Meatballs".

You have missed out on a cultural rite of passage.

That might be what's wrong with me today.

Just saw "Million Dollar baby".
Man that was depressing. It was nothing like the trailers. If you haven't seen it, don't bother - watch the trailer a few times and make up your own ending. It'll be better than the actual movie.

I'm hoping that if they make enough of them, eventually they'd be worth watching for trash value.
American Pie had some gross moment handled well, I guess they though if they'd show some very gross things they'd at least make them funny in a classic way. You can see it in a sperm drinking scene, it's not funny that someone drunk from a cup with sperm in it, but how the cup mingles among unknowing characters, hand from hand, all the time reaching to drink but stopping halfway until someone does sip. While it is gross, grossness is not the only thing they count on.
I prefere earlier films of the kind for reasons I said earlier, but not Porky too much. Porky was mainly sporting macho heroes, while women and nerds were targets of mocking. I prefere movies that actually mock machism, and of course those that have lower production values. Although, Porky is very ridiculous in how the movie that is openly sexist, even misogynist, moralizes about anti-semitism. It's not ok to look down on people of different religion, but of different sex, it's perfectly ok.
Incidentally I think that Porky's was, for a long time, highest grossing Canadian film ever.
Meatballs is not in the same category to me. It's actually considered a good film, like Animal house, which strips it of it's lowlife charm. Sequels, however, are a different story.
I'll actually more likely watch something like Revenge of cheerleaders, with David Hasselhof in a very early role, playing a jock that is chloroformed during the basketball game by the oposite team, but then brought back conscious when a cheerleader shover her panties under his nose.

I finally watched Iron Man.
I pounded my legs and yelled "YES" the whole way though. "YES YES YES YES OOOOOHMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYGOOOOOD YES!"
It was a brilliant movie, and I was near-creaming right through it.
It had this great rhythm I loved too. You'd go all "AW HELL YES" at the really big BOOM-BANG-POW moments. Then you'd have a second down time.
Then an understated moment would come.
And you'd still go "AWWW YES"
Examples of this include, without spoilers, the mini AT-rocket and the shoulder-pistol thing.
