I have cable at my home. There's a good deal of the world, though, where other options simply aren't available.
heck there are plenty of places within the U.S. that don't have easy access to cable internet. And sometimes, even when there is access most people don't really want to pay for the privilege. My parents have dial up because cable internet is not an option for them and satellite costs more than they care to pay for something that barely gets used most of the time.
As for twitter. Meh, i haven't updated my status on facebook in.... at least 6 months if not more, there really no purpose in me getting a twitter.
