So, my seventeenth birthday party is tomorrow and I decided to actually make a cake rather than just buy one.
I present to all of you... Cakethulhu!
Fondant is incredibly hard to use!
So, has anyone else gone on crazy culinary excursions like this? Post 'em!

I wonder if this may be one of those photos you look back on with a little bit of a cringe when you're forty and showing your kids through the family album

Hah, possibly. I imagine most pictures will be like that for me, though.
My idea of everyday clothing is a tophat and cane.

Good God I'm the future of this planet.
Anyway I've done whacky food stuff, I just don't have pictures. I'll see if I can dig any up.

I think that's the kind of picture that makes your kids ask for a cake JUST LIKE IT.

Looks like the results were worth it, though!
It sounds better in the tounge of the old ones, I'm certain.

it's a nice way to turn the tables really, devour the devourer. Nicely done PF. I think MM has probably done some variation on cthulhu cookies.. i know she did some half-life themed ones at one point.

that is the coolest cake I have ever seen.
One question: what flavor is it? I imagine the elder gods to taste like chocolate. <3 (btw, happy belated b-day) ^^

Jackhass - eheheh... well, that was supposed to be a tentacle going under the ground, but I guess if you prefer a penis it can be that too.
Kat - Delicious.
Cthulhu's head was a little burnt, but it was otherwise great.
Axonite - those hotdogs are awesome! If hotdogs didn't make me sick, I'd totally make some.
Serenagold - You imagine correctly. It was chocolate with raspberry jam filling. Thanks!

At least some cephalopods (octopusses, at least, and I'm pretty sure cuttlefish too) have a tentacle that doubles as a penis. True story!
