Heroes Season 2 (Possible Spoilers)

No thread for this yet?

So, what's everyone's impression of the season 2 premier? I thought it was nice that everyone has been downgraded from their previous existence as saviours, to hopeless bums. Especially Nathan. That beard looks funky on him. Slightly confused about the burned up mirror reflection, but mneh.

Looks like the mexican girl has some kind of brain melty powers, so should be interesting to see what happens when Peter meets her. Which he will. Because he's going to meet everyone. Because he can.

Interesting points - I can't be sure, but the necklace that Peter was wearing at the end of the episode, is the same necklace that the haitian was wearing last season. Ties in nicely with the sudden amnesia too.

I think this is the first time we've seen an exact duplicate power in the series, with the new kid, West, flying in exactly the same manner as Nathan.

On a final note, those were the worst Irish accents I have ever heard. I am in fact offended by such lowsy casting.

i'm just amused by the fact that mohinder and parkman are now "my two dads" to molly.

Also i'm trying to figure out the whole "old generation assassination thing" cause Charles died of a disease, and Linderman we know was killed by D.L., so it wasn't this sinister person who knocked Hiro's dad off of a roof. I wonder if it's someone we know who did it, someone who can either survive the fall (it's not claire or peter), fly (might be nathan?) or something else all together.

Apparently it's "one of the nine" and someone that Hiro's dad knew, even dressed as he was. Also, didn't they teach you that if some guy is trying to throw you off a building, you, you know, resist a little? Run back at him? Duck down under the stone ledge you're leaning against?

I also liked how Hiro's sidekick (I keep forgetting his name) bumped into the invisible guy while bringing the paper to Hiro's dad.

I have a theory for Nathan the melty face - Nathan picked up one or more powers when Peter went BOOM. Got badly burned, but got the ability to change shape. Just a thought.

And, I'm liking the cheerleader's dad. But how the hell do they afford that house on the salary of a Kinko's sales guy?

Ho hum episode. The Parkman and Claire arcs are horrible. I doubt the twins are Mexican. I think they are either Venezuelan or Dominican from a city ref in the comic.
EDIT: Honduran. Lempiras.

Also, calling it now that Nathan is not Nathan.

One of the Eight you mean.

That was Nathan.

one imagines nathan let go of peter at some point, though i expected him to have at least some kind of damage. Peter can heal, and his own exploding shouldn't have really damaged him anyway.

yeah, Christopher Eccleston probably won't be back, he'd hate to be type cast later because of this role.

Mohinder must be Greg Evigan.

I think Kaito and Angela were expressing concern about their diminishing numbers as well as their own impending demise. They're running out of allies, especially since one of those said allies seems to be the one after them. I've got a theory who it is, based on spoilery stuff, but I'd rather not say until they're shown on-screen in the proper place.

Then again, it could be like the "Peter is Sylar" theory from last season...

I think he's still himself. Just a wee bit crazy now. Mostly because I don't have any idea who else he could be. Candace would be the only one I could think of and all the signs (relationship with his mother, displayed guilt over Peter, conversation with Claire) seem to rule that out. By the way, have you seen his message on http://votepetrelli.com/? Or the Kensei videos on http://yamagatofellowship.org/? The page for the last segment of that starts back into the Wireless stuff.

You mean as the smarmy English guy? 'Cause he's never played that before...

It's not like there's a whole country full of Irish people they could cast from. ...oh, wait...

And, this just in, Janice Parkman needs to get hit by a bus.

Without chris eccleston, i'm missing half my reason to watch the show, so he'd better come back.

mr. bennet does kick ass, it was very enjoyable seeing him "stick it to the man" as it were.

Hahaha I called the amensia!
Wild theory- Peter will have amnesia in the next series, thus forgetting all his previous powers and getting new ones.
I so called it! Apart from that last bit, maybe he's only forgotten certain ones. How very lame.

HEROES IS BACK ON!!!

well...uh...if his powers work based on the emotion that he associated with the person he got them from, the thing he used might've been associated with being frightened like he was when he used it. The Heroes Wiki has it that there was a blue flash associated with what he did (it looked like that, but the light was similar to the flashlights, too), so this might be something we didn't know he had, or just telekinesis and a flashlight getting flipped toward the camera...

but, yes, the amnesia is stupid.
