Actually I always thought that it's because most of us know each other only through screen, and sometimes it's easier to confide to a stranger.

actually i have these kinds of conversations with people in person too.

I lost all of my inhibitions about bodily functions and the like back when I had kidney stones freshman year of college. Massive shooting pain and the inability to pee without assistance will do that to you.

Yeah, by the time my son was born, any modesty I might have had left had been completely obliterated. Having a room full of people stare at, poke and prod your vagina for hours will do that to you. I didn't even flinch when breastfeeding in public; and after having gone through all that, if someone'd had the cajones to complain about it, I probably would have eaten their head.

I don't know why people complain about public breastfeading. I don't see what the big deal is.

It's very possible. One theory is that breastfeeding takes what we often consider sexual and makes it functional, and that might weird some people out. And some people are just prudes.

That might be it. Babies just aren't known to increase sexual desireability of the image they're prominent in.

As my sister once pointed out, we used to be such a naked-loving, who gives a damn species. Then the Victorian era came and we completely changed what we'd been doing for hundreds of years, and for some reason we adopted that uptight, unnatural notion.

I enjoy such modesty. But I think we can all be adults about it.

Meeting somewhere in between ain't bad. But I say that about everything.
