As Bob so clearly shows the Eurovision has more or less always been about neighbours voting for each other rather than an actual music contest. :D

I gotta say it did have some nice popness to it, almost feeling a bit of Elton John in it to me. She seemed a bit out of breath halfway though the song though. But I'm sure she was nervous.

I always have enjoyed eurovision myself. mainly seeing all the entries, despite the ludicrous politics involved its like the musik Olympics!

I actually like the fact that she is, well, less than representative, visually. That with the tradition of gorgeous beauties prancing up and down, a chubby teenager with giant glasses won... that's cool.

Actually it's more about immigrants voting for countries they came from. We always get a lot of votes from countries where we have a lot of immigrants, like Switzerland, Germany and Sweden.

Also, trying to decode Bob's image:
Anglo-Irish Charity:
GB
Ireland

Nordic Clique:
Finland
Norway
Sweden Denmark
Iceland

Baltic circle-jerk:
Estonia, Letonia and L:ithuania, I guess, but I dunno who's who.

Soviet Block:
Czech
Poland
Slovakia
Romania
Belarus
???
Russia
???

Turkish:
Turkish

Malta

Yugoslavian Back-Pattery clockwise:
Slovenia
Bosnia
Serbia
Macedonia
Montenegro
Croatia

Ciprus
Greece

Balkan block:
Albania
Bulgaria
Hungary
???

Netherlands

Switzerland
Austria

Iberic mini-block:

Portugal

:o Woah, Bob's pic is awesome! They should use it to display the official result in newspapers...

...that way, Bob might earn enough money of it to emmigrate to some non-European country - which might now quite possibly become necessary.

Plus, as a spy, I'm happy to see that people remember the umbrella murder. :D

(Psst...what's the Eurovision?)

This is why there should be only one country per continent.

I think the radioactive guy is Ukraine. Maybe.

Actually, saying I recognise a third was probably a bit generous. More like a quarter...

Just saw a couple of them. Wow, I really did like the Serbian winning song! =D

Though Robin is right, the Hungarian one was awesome.

I wonder what would happen if we did something like this, only with the different states.

And no, I don't mean American Idol. :P

Utah would send in a song about Jesus and Texas would send in a song about how great Texas is.

Well, Eurovision is for big part a promotion of European integrations, so since you're already integrated... unless you wanna integrate with Canada and Mexico...

It would be nice to have more of something like, if only to get more sponsored music programs in the united states... wait I'm venting now.

Ahahaha! XD Maybe, just maybe. I think there would be a greater difference between how people in cities and people in the country voted.
