well, since every piece of bread has a crust, the end pieces are called the heels! And they're the best part, too!
Lucky for me, Jim doesn't like them, so I get to have them all!

We always called those the bums of the bread.
And I like those pieces, the crust is yummy.

My family calls it the butt, too. That may have something to do with why no one eats it...

I also call them the End Pieces. As in, "Stop eating the damn end pieces; you'll make the rest of the loaf stale!"
