No more so than any of you guys.
Some foods can cause confusion as to how to handle them.

The other day when I was on my way home)
mötte mej min son med något underligt i hann'. (my son met me with something strange in his hand)

Far! Jag kan inte få upp min kokosnöt! (Dad! I can't open my coconut!)
Alla sätt jag prövat har vart fel. (All the ways I've tried have been wrong)
(With an axe I swinged 'til I was stiff)
Bordet fick hack, parkettgolvet sprack, (the table was cut, the parquet flooring cracked)
men nöten, den är hel. (but the nut is still intact)

Far! Jag kan inte få upp min kokosnöt! (Dad! I can't open my cocunut!)
Nej, inte ens med hammare och spik. (Not even with a hammer and nail.)
Var vägg nu har små gropar här och var, (Every wall now has small dents here and there)
(Only the coconut is the same)

(only the coconut is the same)
allt det andra verkar bendersk kalabalik. (everything else reminds of the kalabalik in bender)
Minns du flygeln, far? Glöm den, är du rar. (Remember the grand piano, father? Forget it would you please.)
(Only the coconut is the same)

Far! Jag kan inte få upp min kokosnöt! (Dad! I can't open my coconut)
(I tried to crush it against a door)
(No matter how I swung I must've done something wrong.)
Dörren gick upp och mamma kom in, (The door flew up and mum stepped in)
men nöten, den är hel. (But the nut is still intact)

Far! Jag kan inte få upp min kokosnöt! (Dad! i can't open my coconut)
(Even though it gave mom a new mimicry)
When you see her I think that you will smile)
(Only the coconut is the same)

(Only the coconut is the same)
Allt det andra verkar illa gjord mosaik. (Everyting else reminds of poorly made mosaic)
Mammas nos blev grann. Hakorna försvann. (Mothers nose is pretty, the chins all went away)
(Only the coconut is the same)

Far! Jag kan inte få upp min kokosnöt! (Dad! I can't open my coconut)
Inte ens med nitroglycerin. (Not even with nitroglycerin.)
When I had set the charge, careful and well)
I ran and then it said bang)
men nöten den är hel. (But the nut was still intact)

Far! Jag kan inte få upp min kokosnöt! (Dad! I can't open my coconut)
Jag behärskar ej någon sprängteknik. (I have not mastered any demolition technique)
(The house, you see, no longer stands there)
(Only the coconut is the same)

(Only the coconut is the same)
Allt det andra verkar mera pyromanik. (Everything else reminds of pyromania)
Röjningen blir lätt, det enklaste man sett. (Cleaning up will be easy, easiest you've ever seen)
(Only the coconut is the same).

I think the fact that people sit on the floor in Korea is the main reason why shoes aren't worn in the house- it's very important to keep the floor as clean as possible all the time. Fortunately in my apartment we have a sofa.

I'd guess that in Canada we take our shoes off in the house because it's miserable outside for so much of the year.

No wearing of shoes in my house. There is dogpoo on the sidewalks.

I wear shoes into the house, but take them off as soon as possible. If my shoes are wet or really muddy or covered in snow, though, I'll take them off right at the door.

Of course, I'd go barefoot everywhere if I could.

Socks in the house, shoes outside.

Then again, I could be against the no-shoes because outside there are many pointy things to disrupt the structural integrity of my oh-so tender footskin. I hate country living.

Shoes outside, socks/barefeet inside. Cause you never know what you might have stuck to the bottoms of your shoes (or boots), and wearing shoes all day makes your feet stink anyway.

That and I end up wearing shoes as little as possible anyway. I run around barefoot whenever I get the chance. :D

I'm wearing my boots inside right this very moment!

'Cause I'm too fnuckin' lazy to take 'em off right now. All those damn laces are complicated.

Generally, we wear shoes inside, but I am much more comfortable with them off. I have house slippers that I wear around inside, too.

P.S.: I live in the suburbs, so generally, you aren't walking in mud and dirt to get anywhere.

INSIDE:
I kick my shoes off as soon as I can get back to my room. I walk through the living room and hallways with them on. I agree if you're stepping inside for only a moment there's no reason to take the shoes off but whether my shoes stay on or not depend on whether I can comfortably make it back to my room before someone stops me. (Which happens often) It's just more comfortable without the shoes.

OUTSIDE:
I virtually always have my shoes on outside. Once a month when the paper is delivered to far from the door and I'm the first person to get it in the morning I may take one or two steps outside to snatch the news (how cold the concrete is in the morning !_! ) Besides that, there's nothing that's going to make me walk outside barefoot. Besides, I don't live around much soft grass and dirt and non concrete/glass textured walkways so I figure it's not a frugal venture.

Particularly me, though, and I've got mostly German heritage.
