Oh, I made a pun. It was unintentional. I use the word "fruitless" all the time because it's so apt this day and age.

IQ tests are mostly good indicators of how well you do on IQ tests.

Pretty much the part where I came across "..a psychologist in.." is where i decided it was B.S., but that's just me.

it's entirely irrelevant which gender is smarter, faster, stronger, blah blah blah, it has not bearing on anything, any individual pulled out of either population could easily be well above the average or well below, it really makes no difference unless you happen to be some kind of bigot or moron.

They didn't publish my comments but it was something about the study being complete bullshit anyways.

I think that men being smarter than women is not something that can be proven scientifically.

Intelligence varies from person to person as it is with not many people reaching their full potential anyway.

'Some people have suggested it evolved because women prefer men who are more intelligent than they are for husbands,' said the professor.

'Just as they prefer men who are taller than them, they also prefer a male who is a little ahead of them in IQ.'

I have trouble buying this. Most of the women I know think their husbands are idiots.

Coming a little late into the discussion, but I'd just like to say that this guy is a disgrace to my university (I'm a student at UWO, yes). This isn't the first time he's been at the center of a big controversy -- he's published studies in the past claiming that certain racial minorities are inherently dumber.

Anyway, it's stupid to base a study of "intelligence" one one arguably inaccurate measure. Bad enough that we're known mostly as a party school - now we're a bunch of misogynists, too. -_-
