IQ isn't a very good measure of intelligence anyway.

Time to call the paddy wagon I guess.

Any more objections?
I'm just here to watch.

Cows? No, it'll be cats and dogs taking over.
Look at the signs. 1, Mad cow disease is a hoax to get us to stop eating them. 2, They know they're releasing methane gas into the ozone, and they know how to fix it. They're just waiting until things get so bad they can hold the whole room for ransom.

But there isn't... Uh... obviously it's just too subtle and high-brow for the audience here. Ah, well.

Oh! but there is further evidence that you need to know.

wow...3.6 IQ points, that DEFINITELY explains the 'glass ceiling', because that 3.6 points is damn sure the difference between failure and sucess.

This thing is pretty damn idiotic, although I'm also annoyed when people make claims of absolute equality between groups, as though there is some great balancing force that makes everything 'fair'. As has been said already, it's the individual that matters especially in regards to intelligence, and far, FAR more than IQ determination and work ethic determine sucess.

'Course the other thing is that men controlled the world for a long time, so the social structures and mechanisms we have in place were designed by, made for, and most suited to... men!

I see this in politics a lot. The whole system is geared towards men and the psychology of men, so women don't want to get involved and wouldn't do as well if they did. Trying to get women into politics or into boardrooms is currently like trying to get artists working in the IT industry. They're not that interested, their mindset isn't suited to it and the IT guys will just use it as an excuse - in the privacy of their own heads - to continue believing artists are technological incompetants.

Men and women probably do have some mental areas where one gender is predisposed to being better than the other - in the same way that men and women are predisposed to being affected differently by physical exercise.

I suspect that any predisposition is not in any way a major limitation to either gender, should the individual simply apply themselves.

To suggest the "glass ceiling" is the result of a minimal and probably statistically insignificant difference in IQ is appalling, especially when his survey has nothing to do with a corporate environment. That comment reveals more about the individual than it does about his results.

IQ is a horrible, misleading test, largely discredited as anything but a rough indicator of knowledge. I'm surprised he didn't look at the SAT scores of incoming college freshmen - they're about the same age, and the SAT scores can be controlled for any number of factors, and have some actual clout with the real world.

They're judging intelligence off of IQ? :o That's terrible. IQ is only a measure of 'school learning,' which women have historically been dissuaded from. Although this has largely changed, I would still question the validity of basing anything on IQ that IQ was not meant to measure...such as varying intelligences between sexes.

And yes, they DO need to say what they mean by intelligence. Because, frankly, there are a myriad models of what intelligence and learning means. Right brain, left brain, multiple intelligences, tabula rasa, and all the rest.

This is particularly sad after having studied a bit about the process of learning for my museum classes.
