I disagree with whoever slagged off image. Name me one thing wrong with 'Invincible'?
There are some good Image titles, Invincible is one of them... Powers is the other. Oh and Astro City... can't forget Astro City... But when Image launched it was a calvacade of craptasticness that was marketed as cool, and badass.
Spawn, meh.
Youngblood... I still don't know why people think Rob Liefield is cool. The only cool thing he's ever done was create Deadpool. Granted that's a pretty cool thing, but that's it! The new mutants had no buisness turning into "Military X-Men" or X-Force.
WildCATS... from what I hear WildCATS actually turned into a really good book, but it took Wildstorms going to DC and Alan Moore to do so.
Wetworks should never have been.
Savage Dragon was actually the better of the launch titles along with Gen 13... and even those were sub-par.
Now don't get me wrong... I knida dig the Image philosphy that the stories and art belong to the creators and not the company... it's why McFarlane owns part of the Edmonton Oilers... and McFarlane... McFarlane's a great artist, but he can't tell a story and doesn't see the importance of it in comics. It... gaaahhh! Do you hear what I'm saying?
There was a lot of comic sucking going on in the '90s, and in the '90s Image was a Hoover.
