Really?

I get a monstrous pile of investment advice, penis enlargers, overseas drug shippers, and the like. But I rarely get this one.

The ones that bother me are the really good phishing ones. My folks just got caught a week or two ago. You know, the ones that are complete with jazzy pictures and apparent links, telling you to go validate your billing info. Those people, I'd like to beat with a hammer.

yeah, they're getting tricky. Usually i get messages of that sort from "my bank" or "my credit card" too bad neither of those things have the e-mail address these phishmen are sending e-mails to, but once in a while there's one that is somehow related to my real bank or a real credit card. They're really getting quite sneaky.

Yah, those are the typical ones I get...Phishing schemes, and I agree they should be chinese water tortured or have bamboo shoots shoved under their fingernails.

I ALMOST got caught with one I thought was ebay...unfortunately I had entered enough information in the "website" that I had to go to Ebay directly and change my password and start monitoring like a hawk for any illicit activity with my account or my Paypal...

Since, I don't read em half the time...I just forward them to the spoof emails for either website...

If you do Ebay and get one of the phishing emails foward them here spoof@ebay.com or for Pay pal at spoof@paypal.com. This will allow them to do what we can't investigate it and find out who sent it your way. Also be sure you don't alter them in any way, just hit forward, type in the desired spoof address and send. Then I delete them and empty my trash folder.

It's cut my spam down a lot!

I don't know if I've ever had one of the "I am nigerian royalty please send me monies so i can send you more monies" emails. Plently of penis and breast enlargement offers, but really, I don't even check my junk mail anymore. My hotmail account has become a dumping site for that shit that I empty out every few months. Gmail's filters are pretty good, so only a couple slip through.

I wouldn't know. I rarely ever check my e-mail, and if I do, I never even open anything unless I know who it's from, which is rare, because I don't like getting e-mail. I don't like using it.

If you get penis enlargment ads in your mailbox it's only because they can't reach you.

I do get those letters a lot, on mail account that I don't even check anymore.
My gmail account filters them all.

I've been getting a lot of Post Office/Returned Mail/Mailer Daemon spam. It worries me because I'd totally fall for some of it . . . if I had actually sent any e-mails out prior to getting them.

I've never gotten a letter like that. Don't know about emails, though. I delete everything I get if I don't know who's sent it.

Uh...okay! LOL! You're gonna make me look that name up aren't you?

Snicker!

Oh I saw mention of Mailer Daemon, I've gotten those before, but I haven't seen any since probably last year.

Heh, there are definitely a ton of them out there!

Ever heard of something called a pyramid scheme? It's a great little thing y'see... you put money into the scheme, and get more out! Amazing is't it? Now, fill out these forms.

Only style of these that I've been sent is the spoof variety. And normally spam stays far away from my inbox.
