I tend to use "Van", "Van Douchebag", or "Guildmaster Van" in most places I go, so I couldn't see myself changing it simply because "Van" sounds too cool. The name was inspired by National Lampoon's "Van Wilder", and was subsequently shortened to Van Douchebag from "Jeremy Van Douchebag".

I use various names elsewhere, however.
Older names include Komoteht (The word means absolutely nothing - I invented it to sound egyptian), Neo Aesop, and Vigilante (Which got shortened to "Vig" by my UT clansmates who were too lazy to type the whole thing).

Other names I still use today are Ryuusei, Son of the Third Eye (Name inspired by the Thousand Sons army in Warhammer, which I subsequently use on WH40k forums), and båttlëlüst (The name I usually take while playing FPS games)

I also use my real name on occasion, or muddle the wording of my name. One name I used briefly was Mikhail Qu'ran (Which sounds like my name, Miguel Caron).

In real life I was considering using one of my middle names over my first name, which I loathe. Considering my full name is Miguel Amadeus Leonardo Caron I have plenty of options, but none of them sound as awesome as simply "Van", or the nickname given to me by my friends - "L'Anglais" (The English).

I dunno. I picked "Pimpette" because it was my main character, but it's sort of grown on me now. I answer to it in real life if people call me Pimpette.
Though I tend to use "GlowingMember" when "Pimpette" is taken (a la deviantart), and I think I registered in another forum as "Tralin June" (the name of a character in a book I'm working on).
Though my first username anywhere was "laurelcats"

I wanted Steve. Nothing fancy, just Steve. But some evil bastard took it so I had to come up with another name. I don't get into the whole duel persona and coming up with something unique because my preferences change so often. But I do associate many of you with your forum name. For example Srdjan Achimovich will always be McDuffies to me.

I LOVE being called sincerely. It's the first nickname that I've been -really- happy with. The fact that everyone shortens it to Sin is hilarious, something that didn't really occur to me when I came up with it.

A long time ago I took names after my characters, but then I started to hate all of the characters that I named myself after and realized that I shouldn't do that. I went by Basilisk for a little while, but most of my friends teased me for it, so I quit that pretty quickly.

I like sincerely. It fits me, it's ironic, and it sounds decent. I don't foresee myself changing it any time soon.

I really like 'Sincerely' too.

Also I don't this McDuffies could ever be ANYTHING else. Kicking Achim in the achims just doesn't work for me.

it's going to be rather strange meeting him in person and trying to use his nickname or mine.

Me: Bunch of serbian jibber jabber McDuffies more jibber jabber
Him: Blah blah blah in serbian Legostar yak yak serbian yak

I think McDuffies should legally change his name to McDuffies. Just a one word name, like Cher. Or you could change it to Mr. McDuffies like Mr. T. Mr. McDuffies makes you sound more professional.

I don't know about my nickname. Honestly, I suck at nicknames, and I use my current one everywhere nowadays. So I'm kinda stuck with it. But if I could change it I'd probably call myself something really generic and simple.

My handle has been War for 6 years now, and I don't envision changing it any time soon.

I don't beleive I've ever encountered this LZorro.

You don't really notice him until you realise there's a Z on the seat of your pants.

I have a Z on my shirt. But it came like that.

I really use KittyKatBlack in practicly everything I do, since I really like the name. Though, occasionally I fall back on the nickname I used to use on some multiplayer games before I came up with KittyKatBlack, which was Seraphim. I rarely use it anymore though.

You should just change your name to Kitty Black and then you could sign checks and contracts that way too!

Since someone actually leagaly changed their name to Mr. Optimus Prime, it's not that far fetched.
