Sadly, this pattern ended when the cat drowned following its fall. To this day, I find an aching in my heart over the loss of my dear feline friend.

Yeah, it happens. I had a cat in childhood who was totally standoffish and grumpy. One day there was a family get-together at our house; the cat wandered into a room full of people, picked the biggest cat-hater out of the crowd and got into her lap.

This thread is quite dissappointing due to a lack of cat pictures!
This is my "Tiger" who lives with my parents. She's very affectionate. To me. And she was the same way toward my grandma before she died. With everyone else, Tiger pretends affection, and just as they're starting to enjoy petting her, she quickly turns back her head and bites them. . .hard!
