ADSL. 256Kb/s, I think. I have no pressing need to go faster.

ADSL = Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line, i.e. download is faster than upload, as opposed to Symmetric DSL, where both speeds are equal. You would usually only need really high upload speed if you run a server. (Also, high upload usually costs an arm and a leg.)

What's my connection? Oh, you know, I know people who know people. If you know what I mean.

ADSL. To answer your real question.
This webcomic, seen here is hosted on the free web host Comic Genesis which pretty much proves its not popular.

ritalin, even internet ritalin, only lasts for four hours ... you need something that's long lasting, like concerta or adderall

Dial-up. It is my only available option. I live in a 200 acre cornfield.

I tried getting wireless, but I'm so far away from the tower that the reception was extremely poor -- worse than my dialup connection.

If it were available, I'd buy a cable/DSL/T1 connection in a flash. I use the internet fairly heavily, and I'd like to use it even more.

where do you live?

that's a problem with some parts of the US. people in some remote parts of this country who want to subscribe to cable TELEVISION need to pay to have the wires laid. some of these places aren't even really "remote", like some unsettled parts of NY, it's just no one has gotten around to laying the lines out there.

I use Rogers Cable - their "Extreme" package. They cap your bandwidth at 106 GB every month; every month, I come *this* close to going over. I'd switch, but it's the only service better than dialup that's available in my area.

I live in one of the remote parts of this country. :)

I also cannot get cable television. But a satellite dish solves that. I'd get satellite internet, but with a 1-2 second latency you can't play games over it. :)
