That doesn't actually narrow it down. There was one with Wolverine in his brown suit (which I prefered, personally) that showed with Spider-Man & Friends back in the (I think) early 80's, and then the one with Wolverine in his yellow suit that showed around the same time as the 90's Spider-Man cartoon.

Actually, I was surprised that I liked Batman Beyond.

I think the reason the Tick bombed for me, was because they changed American Maid and the bat guy's (whose name escapes me at the moment) names and personalities drastically. I really enjoyed how the Tick interacted with other heroes in the animated show, but they really dropped that ball for the live action.

My friends and I still use The Midnight Bomber, What Bombs and Midnight in our every day speech on a somewhat regular basis. For no apparent reason.

Blargh, I hate the 90's X-Men cartoon. The characters' speech patterns were all too stunted and forced. I wish they'd gone beyond the one episode of the 80's X-Men cartoon. Even if Wolverine had an Australian accent.

wow, I'm so glad that some late night rant of mine has become a coherant thread.

I would like to narrow the discussion though, the fact that TV shows are our fond, nostaglic childhood memories, what does that say about our generation(s)?

Since I'm arriving late to this party, I would like to say that I had the answers to some of the questions posted here, but they've already been answered. Also, I remember many of these cartoons (some more fondly than others), and possibly many more.

I doubt they fired them all, if only based on the fact that their animation series that are on TV are all still 2D.

As far as I understand it they outsource to smaller companies... I'm still annoyed that they seemed to have stop making Fillmore.

Swat Kats, Gargoyles and Darkwing Duck were awesome, though I'm surprised no one else has said anything about Bucky O'Hare

Also is Batman Beyond what I thought was Batman of the Future? Cause that show kicks ass.

But just now the cartoon I watch is Megas XLR, it just takes the mick of every giant robot show that came before it and still manages to put it some pretty could fight scenesand plot. Still I'm not sure if it's the nostalgia that keeps making me laugh most or the running gag about destroying Mtv property

Disney's last remaining hand-drawn animation facility, DisneyToon Studios Australia,will be shut down upon the completion of their current project, the direct-to-video Cinderella 3.
Disney will now farm other direct-to-video projects out to Asian animation. Disney will no longer do traditional animation itself, its theatrical animated features will all be computer-animated.

*shudder* Oh maaaan are those sequel things bad. Ugh. Anything for a buck.

Those dreams died along with Mr. Disney himself... It just took a long time to decompose.

I can see it already: The scintillating conclusion to the epic Cinderella Saga, Cinderella III: Lucifer's Revenge. It would be chock full of action sequences and Taratino-esque dialogue. The end of the final battle would leave people breathless and in tears.
