The Nightmare Before HalloKeen
Proving that I have too much time on my hands...
The Nightmare Before ComicGen
:::Intro:::
'Twas many years ago, when the internet was young
In a time when the DSL lines were first being strung.
For the tale about to be weaved
Begins with webcomics, the first to be conceived.
Now, you've probably wondered webcomics get drawn.
If you haven't, I'd say it's time you begun.
Webcomics are the result of much slacking
And goofing by artists that should be working.
You see, that's all the work they can reap--
Making one single comic, every few weeks.
But once, there was a disaster ever so great
When two comic forums met by mistake.
I'll post more lyric parodies when I have the energy/time/insanity.
Feel free to make your own, of course. ^_^
But I call the "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" song.

I don't think you're in any danger of having the spotlight stolen

Ugh. Honestly, no offense to those trying to have some fun as I certainly don't want to stop anyone from enjoying what could prove to be a fulfilling jam, but I'm going to sit this one out. I've seen way too many NBX "spoofs" that seem to do nothing for me but bastardize a great film.
I mean, this could be argued for any film, so I admit I'm over-sensitive. I guess it's just the way (and the amount) that this has been handled before.

(Already had Santa Claude in the list. Also already on my list were War, Merc, and TeamMayhem as Lock, Shock, and Barrel.)
...and Merb...this isn't a jam, anyway. It's something I'm doing for fun, and to improve my drawing skills, and see if I can make a few 'spacers laugh while I'm at it. Sure, I'm bastardizing it. Just like anything else we change for the sake of fun, it becomes something else.
Anyway, if you guys wanna have some fun and do whatever, feel free. It's not like it's my baby. I'll just work on my thing seperately anyway.
's'not like I own it or anything...or if mine will show up any time soon.
...and I'm doing a strip of my comic tonight, thank y' very much!

There's been a lot of NBC spoofs? I always figured there should be more. As no matter how good or bad they are, they are because people like and respect the film, or what would be the point of doing it?MERBman wrote:Ugh. I think you definatly are looking at such things in the wrong light. If you don't enjoy it thats cool. but you should still realize that "imitation is the highest form of flattery"
I mean no disrespect, I just think that possibly you should think a little less dire. no one is forcing you to look at it after all.
