(Actually, the first verse is OK I think, but what comes thereafter... *shame*) Sorry Nike, don't take it personally. I shouldn't have recorded this song on a bad-voice-night, cause it's rather soprano tuned and therefor a challenge to sing for me (without sounding squeaky) even when my voice is in normal shape... :(
Hey, that wasn't bad. Not bad at all. I've heard covers that were much, much worse than this one.

Well, I guess that's the best feedback I could hope for. :)

I know double posting sucks, but...

I wrote a new song today. My voice is still a little sicky, but singing my own songs isn't as hard as doing covers. And so I felt like sharing.

a cheerful request

"On Top of the World" by the Carpenters.

I have a rather sad reason for requesting this so I'm hoping it might cheer me up.

Okay, KeyMonkey wanted to have the lyrics for my original songs. So I made a text file with them. If anybody else wants to have them... here they are.

Lyrics

I have a cold. My voice got worse since yesterday. No records until I'm in better shape... :(

After careful consideration, I've made a choice. :)

List update:

-> "Ventura Highway" - America (for Rock)
-> "Breathe" - Anna Nalick (for RA)
-> "Octopus Garden" - Beatles (for Vorticus)
-> "Friends in Low Places" - Garth Brooks (for Mrs Kolter)
-> "Deeper than a holler" - Randy Travis (Dedicated to Mr Kolter by Mrs Kolter)
-> "Making Love Out of Nothing At All" - Air Supply (for Mrs Kolter)
-> "Cheek To Cheek" - Eva Cassidy (for Levi)
-> "Bizarre Love Triangle" - Frente (for KeyMonkey)
-> "Psycho Killer" - Talking Heads (for Claude)
-> "I Don't Know How To Love Him" - Sarah Brightman and/or "Take My Breath Away" - Berlin (for M2)
-> "In My Life" - The Beatles (for Corgan)
-> "Cekaj me" (for McDuffies)

Now someone fix my voice so I can go record. ;_;

Thanks Vort... It doesn't seem to work though. :(

But, anyway.

I know I didn't want to sing anything until my song is better. Well, I won't sing requested songs, because you deserve the best of me. However... I wrote another song today, and it doesn't really matter whether that one's super because it's not a request. :P Here's me trying to sing in my current state of sick:

You And I

Meh, it's a really cheesy song. Here's the cheesy lyrics:

So you and McDuffies are lovers now?

Please don't hurt me...
1. Anyone ever tell you that you're really blunt?

2. I never publicly tell who or what my songs are about.

3. *hurts rkolter*

4. *hides from taser*

5. Oh, uhh, thanks for the compliment regarding my lyrics.

(Eats pie with everyone and gossips about Cookie and McDuff's torrid love affair)

Yeah. So the way Kolter told me about it, was he just happened to float through Cookie's window, and there she was with one of those sticky rolls trying like crazy to get the orange fur off her clothes before we all got there...

(Runs out of pie, notices Cookie looking at him maliciously, and runs.) :o
