I just had a nasty computer scare and thought I'd lost everything, including all my music (which I've been working on for 8+ years). Fortunately it seems to have conveniently worked itself out, but see this as a reminder:

I have never backed up my current computer. I wouldn't know how with out a zip drive or external hardrive type device.

I've had that kind of thing happen to me too. I actually lost some stuff too. I now have about 3-4 CDs of each issue of my comic including the copy on my hard drive.

I have to reformat my HD pretty often, and as a result, I have tons of old backup CDs. I don't know what to do with some of them anymore =(

Well geez...now you tell me. My hard-drive died a couple weeks back and I didn't have anything backed up so I lost most of my stuff. Thankfully I didn't really care that much about most of it.
