Don't forget...

Post by Mooman »

...to back up your stuff.

I just had a nasty computer scare and thought I'd lost everything, including all my music (which I've been working on for 8+ years). Fortunately it seems to have conveniently worked itself out, but see this as a reminder:

BACK THAT SHIT UP!!!
What a rubbish signature.

*also backs her shit up*

It's actually only been a few weeks, but I would've lost all the high-resolution images for my new site design...

And lots of music and movies. I have too much time on my hands.

Of course, if your shit is really backed up, you might need to consider a laxative.

I have never backed up my current computer. I wouldn't know how with out a zip drive or external hardrive type device.
I'm glad 90's style forum signatures don't exist anymore.

I back mine up once a month ever since an incident where I lost all my music. That was depressing :(

I've been lucky and haven't lost anything, but I've still backed up about 90% of my stuff.

I've had that kind of thing happen to me too. I actually lost some stuff too. I now have about 3-4 CDs of each issue of my comic including the copy on my hard drive.

I have to reformat my HD pretty often, and as a result, I have tons of old backup CDs. I don't know what to do with some of them anymore =(

Well geez...now you tell me. My hard-drive died a couple weeks back and I didn't have anything backed up so I lost most of my stuff. Thankfully I didn't really care that much about most of it.
