Future Plans
(So I got the idea from the Ideal job thread, but this is a bit more detailed)
What are your plans for the future years-do you see yourself traveling? Maybe moving? Or perhaps persuing a career? Will you still be doing webcomics?
My plan is to graduate from college, during that time working on a sketch for Cirque du Soliel. I'll audition and either make it and spend 1-3 years on it or not make it and then move to Canada. I'll probably buy a apartment studio and work in writing and comicking. My income job will be photography and given the various places to do photography I'll probably work from assignment to assignment in several companies and sections. Once an established Canuck and having enough money in savings I'll go backpacking alone to Europe and just draw and enjoy the cultures around me. Hopefully by then I'll find a place to settle (Either France, London, or any UK cities). I'll keep a small apartment there and wait for a best-seller book to be published (Yeah right).
I'm not a big-buck house person, so I'm willing to starve for my dreams. If I make it big-I'll only own small places in my favorite areas....
Is this so far-fetched?

Not to sound overly jaded or anything. But once upon a time, a young man had great plans. He dreamed of working for a big company, and making tons of money before quitting and starting up a liesure business in the carribbean. Money is all he'd need to be happy, and he dreamed of travelling the world seeing everything his parents didn't get to see. This is how successful people live... isn't it?
Then, he graduated school and discovered even the most detailed and elaborate plans are inconsequential, prone to the whims of destiny... easily dissipating into the ether.
Moral is, live for today... you may just be disappointed with tomorrow.
btw Kris, how was vegas?

Dissatisfied with the entertainment business, I will turn to male modeling. I will spend four years on the runways of NYC, Paris and Singapore. My modeling career will end abruptly and tragically when Naomi Campbell splashes me in the face with a lethal mixture of acid, Chanel #5, Diet Coke and human bile.

I expect to have advanced further into the deep dark depths of Michelin Tires, maybe get higher up in the communications area. I dunno. Point is, I'll work there, and collect my fat paycheque. Hopefully I'll marry Kailana after a while, and maybe I'll have more readers for my webcomic, which I fully expect to still be updating on schedule, still battling the same other 6 artists in the lazy 3x a week grind who simply refuse to lose.
That or die at 41. That sounds pretty lucrative too.

Caught in the headlamp glare of your own blinding vanity/Mesmerised by the stare of your shallow personality
Gorging the junk food of flattery you drag your fat ego around/Everyone floored by the battering you give to whoever's around
Oh Narcissus you petulant child admiring yourself in the curve of my eyes/Oh Narcissus you angel beguiled unsated by self you do nothing but die

Either be the Network Engineer at work, or working elsewhere. Penetration testing sounds pretty cool, and can pay pretty well.
Probably no more webcomicking in a couple years. At least nothing that anyone here would recognize.

During college: work on assembling a cartoon short and/or a show pitch for graduation.
Post college: if the show pitch works, do the show. If not, try to get a job in my career of choice (animation, TV, voice acting, film, games). If can't, apply to CalArts and Academy of Art University for 2d/classical animation.
