he's not a crackhead, he does weed more often. he's never paid for his own drugs and i am often the one stealing from him because i am consistantly broke.
One problem at a time, RA. Just like anything else: One damn thing at a time.
It can suck to be alone, but it sucks even more to be with someone who bores and annoys you. And it sounds like the BF is part and parcel of a bunch of other problems. Deal with this one damn thing and you do two things for yourself; Make the other problems easier to deal with, and give yourself more time and energy to do things.
I'm a big believer in long-term selfishness (Some people call it enlightened self-interest). In the short term this guy provides you with sex, companionship, and pocket cash. In the long term, what good is he to you?
Regardless of the good qualities that attracted you to this guy, the facts that he smokes crack occasionally and regularly smokes weed are bad things. They aren't things you will change about him either; unless he wants to stop using himself, he won't stop using.
IMHO you're going to learn something from this relationship. It's inevetable. You may choose whether to learn the lesson yourself, or have it pushed upon you.
I really do wish you good luck.
Crossfire: "Thank you! That explains it very nicely, and in a language that someone other than a physicist can understand..."
Denial is not falsification. You can't avoid a fact just because you don't like it.
"Data" is not the plural of "anecdote"
I don't particularly wish for him to stop with the drugs, really. I do them myself on occasion, though I haven't touched anything since May-June.
I never wanted him to last long, most guys I like stay that way for about 3-4 months. His time is up, and I'm going to dump him as soon as I get around to it. I don't get anything out of it- we were pretty damn casual anyway. *shrug* It wasn't serious, I'm not going to feel hurt about it, I'm just too lazy to deal with stuff.
it's just...it's ok guys, ssfine. *hugs all around* Dunno what I could learn from this kolter, I knew he was a stoner when I asked him out...~
an ian, i'm a big believer in selfishness. :] I knew I liked him but it hasn't gone any more than that. I still like him, he'd be an ok friend, but as a boyfriend- just no.
<3 both of you, but I got it under control...I just don't like crack. XD

Don't forget the long-term part. Short-term selfishness just causes trouble for you.
Don't dump someone because they do drugs, unless it's really bothering you or putting you or someone else in danger. Yes, this includes crackheads. If he's a stoner, he's a stoner - you're not going to change his habits. And you seem pretty okay with that, since you knew of his habits when you hooked up with him and join him on occasion. That's fine.
If you want to dump him because he's boring, you should probably let him know that. Tell him you think the two of your are in a slump, and suggest spicing things up a bit. If it's his entire personality that's boring you, I'd question why you hooked up in the first place, but whatever. Let him down easy, if you have to.

Am I the only know who finds something disturbing about this? Really reminds me about the pointlessness of relationships.
Ssjust a pattern I've noticed for a few years. I have a very short attention span, so it applies to every activity or sport I've ever done, too. People just happen to fall into that category...? I know I'll find someone I actually care about, it just won't be while I'm 15. XD
When in fuck's name did crack become a drug for people to shrug over? That's somewhere way outside the park of recreational drug use. Getting dumped is the least of that boy's worries.
*Forgot to pay my tuition by the deadline, and had all of my classes dropped. Now I have to register during open enrollment (*cringe*) when all of the good classes are taken.

I wouldn't worry. Never had a relationship longer than two months - the first month is moderately interesting, and the second is me thinking up ways to let them down gently and in the end just not contacting them in the hope they'll vanish. Marriage lasted a little longer though. About three months, that entire relationship was...
