My dear mother LOVES it so. I however have never tried it for the simple reason that I tend not to like seafood. Also they suck. And that is a pun to kill a thread dead 8)

Actually, calamari doesn;t have all that strong a taste. It looks gross, but in reality the taste is inoffensive.

What gets people is the texture. It's kind of like eating a balloon that's a little too thick so it falls apart after a while.

I love Calamari. It's one of my favorite things, and when cooked properly, it isn't all that chewey.
