Sickening.

So, for those who don't know (the entire forum, durrr), I work as a house painter during summers. Our client list consists of million dollar homes in the suburbs. I've seen some excess in these houses, but today blew me away.
It was a new job (for me at least) so I had not seen this house before. Turns out the owner is the second or third richest man in the Cleveland area. He is in charge of 4.8 (give or take a .1) billion dollars in various estates and companies. So this guy can wipe his ass with 100's and not care.
Anyways, the point of the story. We're working there, and also a roofing company is working there. Both of our 'shops' are set up by the garage (ours inside it, actually). In the wide open garage is a Thunderbird, top down. In the cup holder of this car is a wad of twentys. A full wad. Must've been a thousand bucks in cash, sitting there, in the open, surrounded by three painters and 8 or 9 roofers that are gonna be gone forever in a week.
I don't know why this pissed me off so much, I guess just because my family needs money badly and I see this guy who has so much he literally does not care where he leaves wads of it.

I wonder if the guy wears a monacle and a top hat like that monopoly guy. Ah well. Take pleasure in knowing you'll both leave this life only with what you brought into it. Everything else is but a chasing after the wind.

I feel it, man. My husband works as an appliance repairman, fixing high-end dishwashers and refrigerators. He's in and out of mansions all day. And we live in a broken-down old apartment that's about the size of a postage stamp. It's not good for morale.

Yeah, I've been in those situations before. I live in a poor neighborhood, but managed to get an inter-district transfer to the top high school in the district. Which also happens to be located in the richest, most upper-class place in the bay area. Lots of stuff like this happened to me.

Rich bastards.

Yeah, I get it. You may be, rich, sure, but there's no reason to be all smug about it. Like, "hey, look at me, I'm so rich I don't have to be fiscally responsible, you can steal that money and I wouldn't even need to care!"

Tax 'em all to hell, I say!

Another possibility is that it's some kind of sadistic test; if you do take the $, check first for hidden cameras.

I was thinking of somthing just like that today, that Virgin Mobile guy. I was thinking today of how sickening the idea is of idle rich being so bored they are constantly searching for thrillls. here's a thought jackass, if you are that bored, why not spread around the wealth a bit.

*post brought to you by fever dreams and stomach viruses.

Seriously, don't steal the money, nothing good will come of it.

I hope you do a good enough job, and the guy is nice enough, to tip you for the work, and give you quite a generous tip at that.

Yeah, you're much better off stealing their towels. Nobody ever notices when towels are missing.

For some reason that left me thinking of the Mr. Peanut guy instead of the Monopoly guy...

As for mr. moneybags behavior... I can't come up with anything, i mean seriously there are no words for people who are that decadant.

...

I'd notice if someone took my towel...

I have a favorite towel... dont' like any other.

I'd have to just not dry off without it.

I do hope he will tip well. I mean, he can actually afford to tip.

Those bastards. Who needs millions of dollars anyway? How much is enough with these people? Greed is so disgusting.

I wish I were rich.

To paraphrase (and use out of context) Robert Rodriguez,
