No, that's pretty much the books too.
I always thought he had ir pretty bad, having to live stuffed in a closet by his maniac muggle relatives half the year. I thought it was unusual that he was so poorly treated and yet not a angsty piece of crap about it. Then he turned into an angsty piece of crap.

Oh, so it's Google. I gotcha now.

SPOILERS!
Quick rant: The whole Harry/Ginny thing seemed rather forced. And unecessary. Also, the Tonks/Lupin thing is CRAP. Top notch CRAP. All this everybody suddenly falling in love with everybody else is super suck.

With one exception which you mention much of the "falling in love" has been coming for some time. I certainly was saying a certain coupling was going to happen several books ago, and no one wanted to believe me.

More Spoilers, Perhaps?
Well, we knew the Harry/Ginny relationship was coming, but it happened awfully fast. Harry wasn't interested in her at all, and then, all of a sudden, he was like, "Wow... ginny is teh hot. i sure wish she wld look @ me..." And there wasn't even a whole lot of reason for it. Thhhbbbppp. And then they break up anyway, because it's "too dangerous" for them to be together. Which makes sense. But there really wasn't any reason for them to get together in the first place.
And if you're also talking about Ron/Hermione, well... yeah. That was obvious from the beginning. But their relationship has been developed much better, and it's satisfying to see them finally getting closer.
And what of Pince and Filtch? What the hell's that all about?

SPOILER!
I now officially hate Snape. Seriously. I'm going to breach the dimensional barrier, hunt him down, and kill him with my bare hands.

Possibly nonsensical spoiler:
I'm in the Dumbledore-was-literally-asking-for-it camp. I read a livejournal entry on the subject, and it made perfekt sense. Dang. I wish I hadn't lost that page.
BTW- *jumps for joy at the slashiness of page 409*

MAJOR SPOILERS!
We have a theory! It is this: Snape is not a bad guy. Not true! you say. Perhaps not! say we.
Starting from the beginning of the Death Eater fiasco at Hogwarts: Snape knocked Flitwick unconscious to keep Hermione and Ginny away from danger. Since he had indeed promised both Dumbledore and Naricssa that he would take care of Draco, he ran off to find the boy. When he reached the top of the Astronomy tower, Dumbledore was already dying from whatever it was that he drank in the cave. There was, perhaps, some sort of Legilimens used so that when Dumbledore said "please," Snape realized that the headmaster did not mean "please help me," he meant instead "please kill me." Having Snape kill him saved Draco both from having to commit (his first) murder, and from the Dark Lord's wrath (because we're pretty sure that after all that happened that night, Voldemort would be more than pissed off if Dumbledore were not dead at the end of it).
There's probably a few more things that we're not thinking of right now... but basically, that's it.

NOT MUCH OF A SPOILER, BUT WHAT THE HELL:
Is it just me, or are the 'Inferi' in the book just ordinary zombies?
I wanna see this article in the wizarding newspapers: A mob of inferi was taken down last week by a group of ordinary muggles. Trapped in a cabin by the horrible beasts, they disabled the inferi using muggle artifacts called 'chainsaws' and 'boomsticks' . . . more on this as it develops.
