Just because we have relationship stuff in here on occasion

Post by Spriteville, USA »

Anyone who is young enough to have not gone through relationships or break ups but there is one thing that you probably don't consider: Sometimes it is just better to give up and stop caring. There will be times where there is NO right answer, where every action you take will lead to a worse and worse situation. Just back off and forget about it, no good will come of it. So just be wary that sometimes, best intentions mean jack shit.

Seriously, give us details.

Naw, same girl. Just basically gone and over. Like I said, sometimes it's just best to stop caring, so I have.

It's easier when you can convince yourself you're mad though. Least I know I'm using an escape route. I don't care if I'm pulling a sheet over my eyes as long as I can look through it should I decide to.

[EDIT]
In all reality this wouldn't bug me quite as much if I haden't also lost my best friend last night. More relationship stuff but I'm out of her life for a while too. Least with my friend I know it's not planned to be permanant.

Sometimes relationships simply will not work, no matter how hard you try. Tis a fact of life, and a shitty one at that. There's been a couple of girls who wouldn't even give me the time of day, let alone a straight answer, but the majority were pretty decent about being "straight up lets talk".

There are definitely some evil women out there though. I seem to note they tend to break gamer/geek/comicerartist/heavy reader hearts quite frequently.

I'm starting to think that as a gaming/comic society, we're simply targetting the wrong type of Women. :P

All I know is Subway worked for me n_n
Caught in the headlamp glare of your own blinding vanity/Mesmerised by the stare of your shallow personality
Gorging the junk food of flattery you drag your fat ego around/Everyone floored by the battering you give to whoever's around
Oh Narcissus you petulant child admiring yourself in the curve of my eyes/Oh Narcissus you angel beguiled unsated by self you do nothing but die

I think it's more the gamer/geek/comicerartist/heavy reader types have their hearts broken too easily. I'm a pretty good case of that.

Oh well, I'm not dwelling to be honest. I'm actually just pissed off that I'm not given the courtesy of being insulted to my face. Humans deserve to be told off with a voice at least. So whatever. I'll move on, won't be too damn hard right now. There just gets to be the point where you stop feeling bad and regretting things because even if you were wrong, you can only be upset at yourself so long before you just stop caring. So as much as she cut me out, I cut her. Irrational, stupid, childish, but its relationships so what else would be expected.

It's OK, man. It happens. I think most of us know how ya feel.

(I'm having best friend troubles myself... she will call me sooner or later, though, or we'll never finish our writing contest entry. )

How come your best friend ditched you? Do you want to talk about it?

Hee hee... you seem like a really nice guy. I could set you up for a date with some really cool girls if you're anywhere near Davis.

I'll restraint from giving any advice, though, since I am very much the type described in the first post.

Sprite, you want to get even? Hook her up with me. I'm such a self centered ass by the time she's through with me she'll swear off men forever.

No, I'm pretty sure you are a horrible monster. After all, my recent addiction to sprite comics is entirely your fault.

*is an Asian man* woo!

But seriously, I dunno. There's a massive difficulty slope between saying that you want to give up, and actually doing it. Yes, it's easy to say, yes you can tell yourself that it's better in the end. Yes, you can say to yourself that there's really no other choice and it's something that'll happen sooner or later, but still....

Maybe it's just me. I take my relationships too seriously.

For what it's worth, I had my girlfriend of over two years stolen from me by my best and most trusted friend. It'd happened over several months, and they managed to keep it hidden. I found out while trying to play a practical joke on her; she was whispering love-yous to him on a chat. Pretty well devestated me for a long time.

Eventually I got over it. And eventually after that, I met up with this pretty redhead in Missouri... and what do you know?

The moral - life is a sine curve. No matter where you are right now, there will always be a point in your life that you are better, and a point in your life that you are worse. So when you feel like crap because you've got a bad hand and it just isn't improving, try to look at the big picture.
