I mean, wouldn't the seven "Do Not Enter" signs wave a red flag?

Wow. Sad, but understandable. When I was 17, I had just learned to drive, and I took things at face value. It's hard to think on your feet when you're just learning.

Yeah...

I'm all for minimizing the quantity of humans and all, but at 17, I once went the wrong way on a one-way, and the sign wasn't pointed the wrong way. :-?

That's really sad. What ticks me off is that people are going to look at this and use it as a reason to call teenagers in general reckless and dangerous.

But come on. Two and a half miles, against traffic? You'd think she'd have figured it out.

My dad was in a head-on crash at 60 and 80 with some idiot going the wrong way on the freeway. He's lucky to have survived.

Idiot drivers need to open their goddamn eyes. I don't care how old you are, it's not an excuse.

Above everyone else, there's just ONE person you need to be careful of on the roads.

That's the bloke behind the car in front, and in front of the car behind.

Teenagers ARE in general reckless and dangerous. It goes with being a teenager - jeez. We adults were once teenagers too you know. Why, they had cars back in the day... *shakes fist at reckless youth*

They had? I thought the first self-propelled road vehicle was invented as late as 1769...

Neh. The most reckless and dangerous people are immature adults who still think like teenagers. That's because even if teenagers are reckless and dangerous, nobody gives them a vote in really important things, while adults are.

I've had more intelligent conversations about politics with my buddies in drama class than I have with many adults.

Of course, I'm not saying that I consider my drama class representative of the average teenager. Still, I don't think it's particularly fair to treat all teenagers like walking time bombs just because a few get on the news for being complete idiots.

Nobody ever stops to realize the fact that if it's on the news, that means it's unusual, and if it's unusual, maybe all teens aren't like that.

Meh. *shrug* I don't get into a lot of arguments, but this is one that happens to me a lot. I just refuse to allow adults to categorize me with the druggies and the drunks of my age group. After all, I don't judge adults by their rejects and failures.

eep, that's near where I live.

I dunno, 2.5 miles at 65 mph is a pretty short time.. I agree it's sad, but understandable. teenagers are the most likely to get in accidents.. a lot out of inexperience though.

it's people who grow up, get experience, and continue to be reckless and stupid that are the worst, no?

Totally, dude. That's when we stop calling you a reckless teen and you're demoted to the rank of complete utter MORON with no justification. :)

Although, you're happy to catagorize all adults as people likely to look upon teenagers as druggies and drunks. ;)

You drunk, druggie teen you. I bet you do the crack. Don't you? You do the crack and listen to the rap music. *shakes cane*

That's because the adults who look down on teenagers are the only ones who ever speak up. It's the same effect as the teenagers, really. But I will point out that I was responding to this particular opinion, not adults in general, so my statements were logical.

2.5 miles is a long way, but whoever filpped the sign is in a heap of trouble if they get caught.

Hey, aren't you one of those adults who look at all teenagers as if they're categorizing all adults as a king of people who categorise all teenagers as drugged up reckless hippies?

Unfortunatly, the stupidity of the girl will be downplayed while the CRUEL MALICIOUS ACTS OF NEIGHBORHOOD VANDALS AND WHY YOU SHOULD BE TERRIFIED (news at 11) will be all over the place.

There is a reason that when a teenager says they want to be an adult, universally, adults answer, "No, you don't."

Now get the hell off my lawn, you whippersnapper! :P

Granted. But if you do something stupid that leads to people getting confused and killed, you SHOULD be charged with manslaughter.
