Yeah. I still have the drumhead too. It's made of Kevlar, so it's supposedly bulletproof.

I did get the weird idea to sell it on ebay. I'm not going to, but the thought did enter my mind when he died.

It's too thin. It might protect you from shrapenel, being a holy drumhead and all.

Yeah. As far as I know, Kevlar isn't really 'bullet proof' It just helps slow down the bullet and reduce the impact it has on a person. Most bullet proof vests have a ceramic plate inside of it between the Kevlar to actually stop the bullet.

But I could be wrong. I haven't been keeping fully up to date with the latest in body armor technology. This is just what I remember reading about it.

Kevlar bullet proofing stops the bullet, at least that's the plan, it doesn't work so well for high calibre or armour piercing rounds though - that's what the plate is for. But since plates are heavy and expensive they're only placed over vital areas, plus they might set you on fire if you get hit - LOSSA SPARKS! I think. I should really check that one up, I haven't actually heard of soldiers getting hit and going up in flames... But they do make a lotta' sparks. They're made from a composite glass metal or something.

Note to self: Check up on infantry plate technology.
