Nah, most of people do post off-topic threads into off-topic posts. I reckon there are people who come here strictly for webcomic discussions and news, and to them this division is fair.
I think keenspace is just filled with a bunch of rebels that have to post off topic things in general areas. However since everyone is rebelling against everyone else, even a thread like this which should be full of nonsense and flaming instead turned into some kind of discussion about the reasoning behind the forums divisions.

if there's a real problem with it, change General Discussion to Comic Discussion, and then there should be no more people posting all these horrible non-comic related posts

Well the GENERAL rule of thumb is that this would go better in off topic. Maybe it's just me, but I like to see comic/Keen related topics here.
