Who would win?

Postby ManyWorlds on Mon Jul 12, 2004 11:45 am

I recently went on a Ghostbusters kick, and it yielded an interesting question. Who would win in a mecha-style fight? The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man, or the Statue of Liberty?

You cannot forget that the marshmallow man was in fact an elder god, ZOOL!
And the statue was held together by goo, powered by the goodwill, and barely managed to beat up a building!

So, I vote for ZOOL! Go Zool! Crush the humans!

"1.Scan in high res 2.tweak with curves, levels or something to clean up the scan (or use channel mixer to remove blue pencil lines) 3.Add colour using a layer set to multiply. 4.Add wordbubbles and text as vector shapes. 5. Merge all layers. 6.resize to the web size. 7. Export/Save for Web" that's all I know about webcomicking.

But don't forget, Libby was driven by the Ghostbusters, who gooified Puffy.

What about Zool vs. Viggo?

yes, but they would have to cross the beams, and the explosion would probably destroy the statue (held together by goo), or even stop all the life as we know it, and confine us top eternity in another dimension.
So it would be a draw.

Hmm... Zool vs. Vigo... a tough call, the one who makes the first move would be at an advantage...

It really boils down to which would spend more time powering up. That one always wins.

If you put a marshmallow in a microwave, it gets bigger. Metal just sparks. So the answer is Sta-Puft.

Of course, it would be more decisive with a giant microwave oven.

It depends on the battlefield. If it was in the US, Liberty would win, because the Americans would kick the everloving shit out of the overgrown marshmallow for being a terrorist. :D

When I read "Libby" in the poll above I thought you meant the small town in which I was born.

In which case, Stay-Puft would win.

It depends entirely on how quickly I could get a twenty-story tall hershey bar and two of the world's biggest graham crackers.

Okay, the god was named Gozer. Zool was "The Gatekeeper" that possesed Dana and turned into the demon-dog.
And for the record, the mood-slime kicks ASS!

Anyway, I figure the fight would play oput something like this. The Statue would have an initial advantage, cause the torch (which bursts into actual flame when slime-ified). However, it's slow moving nature would lead Mr. Stay-Puft to a victory. However, Puffy would be weakened by the fight, and would be finished off by sugar-high children.

Morons. The name's Zuul, not "Zool". You kids play to much with yer playskool toys nyo.
Faith is what credulity becomes when it finally achieves escape velocity from the constraints of terrestrial discourse- reasonableness, internal coherence, civility, and candor. Thus, the men who commited the atrocities of September 11 were neither cowards nor lunatics of any sort, but Men of Faith- perfect faith- and this, it must finally be acknowleged, is a terrible thing to be.

Yep. And people say the US doesn't contribute to the rest of the world. Pfft.
