Dude, you just pretty much encompassed every white person on the planet; Hispanics, Arabs, and Middle-Eastern Jews included.

Having a "of _____ descent" dealy is redundant because invaritably we all come from the same place, be it the scientific way in the cradle of life in North-Eastern Africa at the Oduvai gorge, or the theologic way from Eden at the Tigris.

A better dealy is the "I was born in _______" club.

Give it a whirl through your beloved Babelfish, Warren, and let's see what comes up.

Love of distant spot, love of assholes

You can't make this stuff up... it's great!

Hey, Babelfish worked for once!

Yep, it pretty much means only a moron would try to keep a distance relationship alive. Not even seeing each other over a webcam and net phone would be the same as being in the same room and holding your beloved's hand.

Of course, it can be done, but most of the times is too much effort and not really worth it.
Faith is what credulity becomes when it finally achieves escape velocity from the constraints of terrestrial discourse- reasonableness, internal coherence, civility, and candor. Thus, the men who commited the atrocities of September 11 were neither cowards nor lunatics of any sort, but Men of Faith- perfect faith- and this, it must finally be acknowleged, is a terrible thing to be.

What confuses me about the gay marriage issue that the main point Dubya and his cohorts are trying to push is that if we allow gay marriages we invalidate the sanctity of marriage. I think us breeders threw the sanctity of marriage out the window when our divorce rate hit 30% and kept climbing. I think the least we could do is see if the homosexual community can do better, I bet they can.

In the end it's really just about the election. While, yes, it's true that if Dubya pushes this as hard as he has been he'll gain the support of many right fielders who wouldn't do so in the first place. That's not the REAL mission here. The real mission is more subliminal, if he can get the voters to think about the way he thinks marriages should be then they'll likely vote for "Dick and Bush" come election time.

Um, I mean long distance relationships are tough, but they can be very fulfilling if both peope are serious enough about it.

Actually, it's still up in the air whether people gradually went around the globe or split off geographically immediately after they left Africa, but now we're just nitpicking...

What really bugs me about these folks is they claim to want to preserve the "traditional definition of marriage"...

Maybe it's me, but I tend to believe that marriage isn't about a woman being owned by a man as a piece of property. But hey! That's just my whacky hippy liberalism.

What's funny to me is that the Christian Church did not, for hundreds of years, want to even touch marriage, believing it to be a purely secular persuit that determined land ownership. :)

Wait... it isn't? Why does no one keep me informed!? Please tell me that the earth is still flat and the center of the universe. Please tell me that smoking isn't even a little biz hazzardous to my health. Please tell me that if I keep making funny faces that my face will stick that way. Something... anything...

Nah golddiggers have been at it before TV was even invented. There just haven't been that many golddiggers in once place before, except maybe during the gold rush..but that's a whole different story.

Try the Ton, the one thing they excelled at was gold digging.

Anyways; happily the three major relationships I've been have been online, my last one I moved in with almost two years ago and never been happier. We're still together and it was a long distance relationship, we never saw each other face to face until the day i moved in. Yeah, sometimes you meet people who lie to you, or turn into stalkers but *shrugs* there are alot of good people out there and you learn to know the difference.

That is totally true. I have one friend who is utterly flaming, and he sleeps around with every other gay guy at school (at least 5 that I know of). And this guy is a straight A student (no pun intended). I don't even think he uses condoms or anything...
