There are only like 3 sodas that are actualy "coke"

Coke
Diet coke
Caffeen free coke

calling all soda "coke" gives the other brands an unfair disadvantage!

Coca Cola Classic
New Coke
Caffine Free Coke
Diet Coke
Cherry Coke
Vanilla Coke
Coke with Lemon/Lime (Ick.)
Jack & Coke

Of course, my carbinated beverage of choice is Dr. Pepper. But then again, there are heathens out there that don't carry it because it's a minority. HEATHANS!

(Edit- By the way. It's soda. Pop is soooooo annoying. I think they call it pop in Australia, which is where my dad is from. He's called it that once or twice, but mostly also calls it Soda, cause he's lived here for so long.)

And also.

*gets a sword and stands next to Isukiyomi* Do not dis the Valley. We will like, totally fuck you up. And junk. Seriously.

Ah, you forgot another regional colloqualism.

Round here, some of us call it "tonic".

Though usually I go with "soda", anyway.

I asked the nice lady who runs the local Brit shop to order some Tizer.

I like Tizer:

"Happy birthday, Tizer - 80 years old this year. I remember sloshing back tumblersfull of the horrible, orange stuff as a child. But then, by the time I was given it, the original formula had been changed. Tizer (short for appetizer, which it was not) was invented in 1924 in Manchester by a firm called F. Pickup but, sometime during the Second World War, the recipe was changed. Together with other memorable drinks - Vimto, Dandelion and Burdock, Lucozade - the idea was to mix pleasure with health-giving herbs and minerals.

Tizer, now back to its original recipe, includes a mix of water, sugar, citric acid, flavourings, preservatives and colours. Berry-red Vimto, also from Manchester, has a slightly more salubrious mix of blackcurrant and grapes, horehound, vanilla and capsicum with vitamin C. Dark brown Dandelion and Burdock, another north-westerner, deliberately used burdock (once added to beer instead of hops) to create a beer taste-alike for teetotallers. Tizer now belongs to A. G. Barr, makers of Irn-Bru which also started life as a tonic laced with iron (and was originally called Iron Brew.) This, 'Scotland's other drink', is what the Tartan Army now has to drink on its travels."

 Not really. I was slaughtering RLC and ivstudios for the excessive use of the word "like".

This was my initial post.

My God! Tizer, I haven't had that stuff in years, it's the red stuff from the same Irn Bru people isn't it? God, memories... I drank that stuff like a whore when I was younger... >happy sigh<

And we call the family of drinks you deem "Soda" and "pop" by the term "Soft drinks" - Why I have no idea.
