Nah, maybe someone was going for "Your IQ is your shoe size"

Anyway, somewhere between 7.5 and 9.5 IIRC, depending on it being a dress shoe, a running shoe or a boot. I think my boots are the smallest actual size in number, and my steel toed shoes from a job 3 years ago the largest (I had to wear three layers of socks. They don't make .5 sizes.)

*checks current shoes* ... sez US 7.5

... which just happens to be one of a few types of discussions that tend to veer more or less back on topic around here.

44 or something like that on average, depending on manufacturer, European measurements of course. At least I think I'm a size 44. Was a heckuvawhile since I last went shopping, and the last two pairs were a set of fine formal shoes that're to big and a set of summershoes that're such a good fit I ended up wearing them all fall and winter, rain, snow, ice and slush be damned.
Also have a pair of old, walked in marching boots, a bit worn, think they might be size 42 or 43.

Men will compare their penises to anything. Foot size sounds much more macho than middle of palm to tip of finger size (which also isn't scientific).

It's one of those, "ooh, your heart is as big as your two hands balled into a fist" quotes, taken a bit too literally.
