I watched a dozen episodes of it and I honestly think that I wouldn't manage watching all of it, with all shots of still pictures that last for minutes and obvious ways of how animators cut corners and, frankly, it was all so distracting that I couldn't concentrate on the story.KittyKatBlack wrote:I'll agree the end kinda fell apart, but more or less the animation style was very well done, and it had some really nice directing. The story could have been clearer and just overall better, but visually, it was a nice piece of work.
But I'm not seriously into anime anyway.

Somehow I don't think 'seduce' is the right word.wishmaster wrote:I like that one with all the tentacles forceably seducing chicks.
My current favorite manga is Hellsing, it also happens to be the only one I've read aside from Bleach and webcomics. Currently waiting for #7 to come out.
Anime-wise it's much harder to choose, since I'm living off campus (and away from the networks anti-torrent and anti-IRC restrictions) I'm the official "acquirer" of anime for the club at my college, currently theiving Speedgrapher which is pretty awesome.
Big fan of Hellsing (manga's cooler but the series still rocks), Fruits Basket, Naruto, and Gungrave. I'd have to say my current favorite is Read or Die, I still need to find the rest of that series.

Have you heard about the Hellsing Ultimate OVA? It's supposed to be more faithful to the manga...orion wrote:Big fan of Hellsing (manga's cooler but the series still rocks)
The trailer is here.
Someday, someday I'll finish Confabulation. That day is not today, however.

I got 6 episodes into Slayers before I couldn't stand it anymore. I'm reading this awesome short manga right now called "King of Thorns," and it is a masterfully executed take on the whole "end of the world" plot.

I watched Slayers a long time ago, or rather, a couple episodes of Slayers. It was ok...
Every time I think of the show, I think of Brock from Pokemon...

I have the book slayers. My mom gave it to me as a christmas gift. She bought me number 2 for some odd reason. I haven't read it cuz I want to read #1 first for obvious reasons but it has been almost a year and I still haven't bought it.cat42 wrote:I watched Slayers a long time ago, or rather, a couple episodes of Slayers. My favorite? Trigun by far. Both because I like the plot, characters, and it's got great college memories associated with it. Coming in close is the Read or Die OVA and Cowboy Bebop. The latter is interesting because I really hate Wolf's Rain. The characters were cliche, the plot helter skelter, and the ending was one of the worst I've ever seen. Pretty animation, though, and the music wasn't bad. I've got mixed opinions on Samurai Champloo. Most of the time it just seems like it's trying too hard.
If you're talking individual movies, than I would say The Cat Returns or Castle in the Sky.

I've actually found catgirl anime vaguely hard to find, I've only found 3 series, infact: Dominion Tank Police, Hyper Police, and All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku.rock_dash wrote:My favorite anime? Anything with catgirls...
