Compare this to, "I have spent my life trying to find a cure for these people, oh wait here's how I get powers, let's inject myself and negate the last 20 years of my research and all my father's work that I've anguished over."
And, "I kill people whenever I cry oh god I can't keep this power hey you got your powers from me and aern't going to cure me or anything I know let's FUCK!"
... yeah. And that's just this season. The writers are fine with altering a character's entire path on the basis of one change. So why not a change in Noah after Noah is partnered in his old corporation with Sylar and Sylar saves his ass?
I maintain I am pleasantly surprised they gave Noah the strength of character not to change.
