But if he had finished with something awesome, you would've been mad that he stopped in the high point. This way, you know that he did all he could and that he honorably stopped while it was still not too late.rkolter wrote:I hate how Calvin and Hobbes ended, not because it wasn't a kick-butt strip to end on, but because it was a REPEAT of a strip he had ALREADY RELEASED.
The jerk couldn't send us off with something original. *shakes fist*

I'd have been happy he stopped at a high point. Bu I am glad he stopped before he jumped the shark.mcDuffies wrote:But if he had finished with something awesome, you would've been mad that he stopped in the high point. I don't think it's a laughing matter. Especially considering what happened afterwards.

Hm Interesting timing, Tero. Just when I started crawling out of hiding and back into webcomics, we get a chance to send HNTRAC off in style.
It's been said before, and I'll say it again, most of the credit for HNTRAC must go to Terotrous, he pretty much took ownership of the whole thing. For me, HNTRAC was really just another one of my ideas that somehow took a life of their own and went beyond my control. As usual.
I did love that thread that started it though...
Hm, the kind of comic ending I hate: being left hanging at the climax of the story with no explanation. I think I'll have my contribution a mind-wracking cliffhanger, and a date at the bottom that indicates that it hasn't been updated for years. (last comic in the year 2000 or something)
... Actually I think the above is in danger of happening to me.

I already did that back on page one, but it's not so much a cliffhanger as it is the dramatic high point...Phalanx wrote: Hm, the kind of comic ending I hate: being left hanging at the climax of the story with no explanation. I set my ATM card's number to "0001" because I'm number one!
