Where should one take out a gun? To a restaurant?
Just don't use it to stab someone who's likely to take out a gun.rkolter wrote:Psst... the handle can be used as a knife.

I seem to skip between all 3, lol.Toxic wrote:I'm sure we've all heard of the ever present color vs. colour debate between European and American english, but I was unaware there was also a huge debate over date formats.
So, which side are you on? I used to use American dates exclusively, but I mostly use Eurodates now except for dates of birth.

on hand written and letters I use the Americdate or what ever you were calling it, but on computer files (other than just the comics) I use the ISO 8601 system. I do it so my files are actually in order on when I did them when I pull them up on the hard drive, but it also confuses the hell out of co-workers who want to look up past ads on my computer. I just point and laugh at them. they shouldn't be on my computer anyways.

I've only used ISO dating when naming comic files because that's how AutoKeen takes them. I don't normally date files at home anyway, so I never saw a need for acsending dates like that...and it wouldn't have occured to me to use ISO to accomplish that. (Hell, I didn't even know it was called ISO 8601
)
I should probably use ISO when naming files at work, but 1) I've done it my way for years now, so I'm not about to change, and 2) we seem to be pretty lousy about backing stuff up, so it'd all get sorted into separate folders by year anyway. A coworker dates some of her work Eurostyle, because of our work with the military, but at least she uses 3 letters for the month.
Otherwise, it's all American, all the time for me.

I think the problem with the spork is that they are always made of plastic and too flimsy. They should make a strong, silver spork. It would be usable and great at fending off werewolves.PeppermintAfterlife wrote:Speaking of forks, I wonder who invented the spork. It fails at being both a spoon and a fork.

over the summer I went to a renaissance fair, and these blacksmiths were selling the greatest thing ever: an iron fork/spoon. I would have bought one but had already spent all my cash.humand wrote:I think the problem with the spork is that they are always made of plastic and too flimsy.
