Yaaay! That makes me so happy.

Also, for anyone interested in politics there's a good site listing the connections between politicians and special interest groups. If you look at a particular bill, you can see how someone voted right next to how much money they got from said special interest groups. So far it's on a federal level and California. They're working on getting it going for other states. But yeah, you can also see all kinds of stuff on individual legislators, what interests support them, etc. The REALLY nice thing is that it all includes the actual dollar values from 'donations', lobbyests, and the like.

I've been hearing that Ron Paul was going to do well in Florida from this guy on another forum. Seeing that he hasn't fills me with unearthly joy. =D

A prerequisite for being a Ron Paul supporter is to have a tenuous grasp on reality.

One of the common arguments the guy tossed at us was "But he does well at universities."

I'm going to leave that statement as it is and not interpret it.

Know what else goes over well at universities? Binge drinking and bong hits. I don't trust the opinion of any of my fellow college students without first confirming that everything they know about life they learned from MTV.

On an off topic but related note, one of my callers said "Change the radio station and put on some real music." Guns and Roses was paying at the time. She wanted a rap station playing your standard recycled club rap noise. I just about had a fit on the spot, and she was promptly bad mouthed by all of the other callers the next day who had heard about it.

It's funny how people assume to be able to judge whether something is real music or not based on something so trivial as taste.

Damn internet and the mistranslation of tone... I should have figured.

What I'm basically saying is taste is not and never will be a means to qualify something as music. Me hating country music doesn't mean it's not music, nor has it any influence on how "good" it is.

So, to clarify, the jab was in direction of the caller that didn't consider a music style she didn't like as "real music" and not at Laem.

Guess he either ran out of money or made a deal with either Hils or Bambam.

Guess I shoulda made clear I'm insisting on my interpretation regardless of what you meant. You deserve no blame.

I hadn't heard that nickname, love it

I think Edwards will endorse Obama shortly since they seem to be buddybuddy already. the fact that he didn't announce his endorsement with his exiting speech has me suprised, but then again he may be waiting till after super tuesday (why, I have no idea.)

from what I've seen, Ron Paul supporters are just the "Loose Change" lunatics.

I keep seeing Ron Paul yard signs around. D: It's kinda creeepy. But I suspect it's just that Ron Paul supporters may be more likely to put signs in their yard. I cling to that hope.

I am by law not allowed to do that. :(

And I just remembered that I'll totally be out doing ROTC stuff during this whole thing.

Chelsea Clinton showed up at UMSL a couple days back. They've got their daughter in on the act too now.
