Er, Cope and Robby... who are they tricking? The dead civilizations? What they get out of it is the planet.

Post by Cope »

Stinky said they made the world perfect. It's obviously a trick of some sort!

They're gonna use the planet as a base of operations to conquer other worlds! Or they'll populate the world with pod people for use in soylent green! Or..or...SOMETHING!

Or geothermal energy tapping.
I wonder how difficult it would be to convert a planet into a massive magma-cannon?

Magma Cannon?

Not too hard if you can terraform using force fields like they did.

Just crush the planet, then open a hole a half mile wide suddenly all the way to the liquid outer core, and reinforce the hole so the eruption doesn't make the hole any bigger.

Liquid iron at a few million atmospheres of pressure given a release valve.

Well then, the question becomes, who would they be firing at if they did utilize the planet as a weapon?

Or is there a non-violent use for converting an entire planet into molten heat and projecting it through space?

I think they're just terraforming it so they can colonize it themselves

Possibly. But that's boring. We've seen that.

I like how the two buildings come together at a right angle on the "lower-left" "side" of that planet. That's gotta be this world's version of the Oregon Mystery Spot.

Conceptual art of course.

Or you could squirt the innards of several planets at the same coordinates in such a way that they fuse together thus forming a new planet. The ultimate in terraforming.
