Hah! I approve! XD

I hate how the main story every season has been about "saving the world." Can't they have more personal conflicts, or localized conflicts instead? Just because they have powers doesn't mean the entire earth always has to be threatened. They might as well throw on tights and take up superhero names if they're going to continue on with that theme.

I thought they killed that idea with Nicki in the season 2 finale...

i think that the show would be better if they actually used the first half of a season to work up to something, as apposed to in the first episodes being all like "ohz noes were all gonna die."

they could do a lot more with the idea... than keep doing the same thing. also if they just realized that every season doesn't have to be the explosion of earth. I also think it would be a lot easier on the writers if they formed a team or something.

The Haitian doesn't actually have a huge area of effect though. He'd have to be driving it.

I'm sure he would pass over her as she gets mangled beneath the wheels of the train.

She'd have to get all dismembered and decapitated in the process... otherwise, once the train had passed over, even if she technically died, if the pieces were still there, and even if some weren't, she'd still heal and come back to life again. If you really want to kill her, you'd have to get creative... chop her up into pieces, burn them, mix up the ashes, then separate them to be spread around the world in many different locations... Send some into space.

Interesting question...

I think the Hiatian's power would work on her regardless - if she got run over, when his part of the train got to her, or if she got clobbered, when his part of the train rolled by her body.

The question is - if she dies while she has no power, does she stay dead?

We need to experiment.

As much as Heroes touts her as being indestructible, we already know of two cases where she winds up dead. One is where something is firmly embedded in her skull, in which appears to press pause on the healing process untill removed (would she completely rot away if buried with it still embedded in the skull? What if the item in her skull does first? Or falls out?) The other is where the head is severed, and that was also clarified in Angela's dream.

Which makes me wonder if Senor patrelli's power of taking powers away is a bit on the deux ex machina as well. It seems like when he grabbed Adam, he aged a couple hundred years in a moment, "undoing" his power, which suggests that maybe the healing power just constantly uses the same body blueprint at X point in time and therefor doesn't age. So Claire might be stuck as a teenager forever. Or maybe Peter's power is the same as senior patrelli's power, like how Mark Parkman and senior parkman's powers are.

So maybe Senior Patrelli's power used on Claire would result in her suddenly aging several years. If so, why doesn't the Haitian's power do that? (Quick, was the Haitian ever near Adam at any point in time?)

I thought that the Hiatian's power was to DAMPEN, not remove. So they still have the power, it's just "on hold" so to speak. So that would make it like the stake in her chest in the autopsy lab. Well, damn.

And why would Adam age like that? It suggests that aging is itself something that is stored up. Most of the affects we saw would be caused by environmental effects - I could see him dying, but dissolving away? Does the removal of his power cause bacteria to gain the ability to accelerate time?

Bah.

I was wondering exactly that. but, note that every other person who can draw the future does so in the same style, the comic book publisher obviously found someone with the exact same style and it turns out they have the exact same talent! Or since Issac knew he was going to die he wrote up a ton of comics for the future. Or it's a bunch of bullshit. Probably that one.

Mr.Bob wrote: and how the hell can Claire be the superpower 'catalyst' when the old gang were synthesising superheroes long before she was born
Obviously they had other catalysts, Adam perhaps? Course if that was the case Arthur wouldn't so casually kill him for no damn reason.
