how do you suppose adrenaline gets to the rest of the body?Modernmelodrama wrote:I just moved to the west coast from the midwest, and I really took Eastern Standard Time for granted. Central Time and Eastern Time people get the shows earlier than the rest of the nation! Sure, if I were to pay for extra channels, I could get the station that shows Heroes at the same time as the Central and Eastern Time folks, but for one show? As it is, I see Heroes 3 hours after you easternmore (is that a word?) folks.
It was worth the wait, though. TWO episodes back to back?? I'm so happy this season started out fast-paced, unlike last season.
How can Claire's blood heal people if the "superpowers" are connected to adrenaline?

Also ModernMelodrama, the healing power is apparently special. Remember, the healing power works on you even if you're dead - no adrenaline being released.Dr Legostar wrote:how do you suppose adrenaline gets to the rest of the body?Modernmelodrama wrote:I just moved to the west coast from the midwest, and I really took Eastern Standard Time for granted. If I understood Mohinder's biological techno-babble, the adrenaline of a person with the power (or maybe just Maya, whose power is activated by adrenaline?) can cause another person's latent power to suddenly come alive.
Possibly with side effects like giant welts on your back.

as far as the giant welts i think mohinder's just a dumbass, what kind of scientist just goes around injecting random bodily fluids into people and himself, even in the crazy science out the window world of heroes, that's just stupid.Rkolter wrote:Also ModernMelodrama, the healing power is apparently special. It makes sense only in the crazy science of the world of Heroes - how many comic book villians and heroes exist because they decided to experiment on themselves?Dr Legostar wrote:as far as the giant welts i think mohinder's just a dumbass, what kind of scientist just goes around injecting random bodily fluids into people and himself, even in the crazy science out the window world of heroes, that's just stupid.
Now for me the question is, what kind of monster will Mohinder become, and who will kill him?
And, if Sylar finds out that every single human on Earth has superpowers if only they were released, will he start rooting through everyones' brains?

well if the preview for next week indicates anything Sylar might not be the villain so much anymore cause Angela Petrelli fucked with his brain.Rkolter wrote:It makes sense only in the crazy science of the world of Heroes - how many comic book villians and heroes exist because they decided to experiment on themselves?Dr Legostar wrote:as far as the giant welts i think mohinder's just a dumbass, what kind of scientist just goes around injecting random bodily fluids into people and himself, even in the crazy science out the window world of heroes, that's just stupid.

He will become a pathetic mess of something resembling neither himself or a fly, then he'll beg Maya to blow his head of with a shotgun. Kaboom. The End.Rkolter wrote:Dr Legostar wrote:Now for me the question is, what kind of monster will Mohinder become, and who will kill him?

I didn't see next week's preview. Does Angela Petrelli have mind-fuck powers? I thought her power was to dream the future.Dr Legostar wrote:well if the preview for next week indicates anything Sylar might not be the villain so much anymore cause Angela Petrelli fucked with his brain.

from the preview it looks like noah comes back to the company to track down the fugitives and he gets partnered with a clean shaven and suit wearing sylar.Rkolter wrote:I didn't see next week's preview. Re: Heroes Season 3
Well, nobody mention that they answered the Skylar brain eating question. And the answer is no, he doesn't eat them. But still he pokes til he finds it or figures it out or what? Either way it was creepy to watch.
Re: Heroes Season 3
I've said it from the very beginning, Sylar's power is that he can figure out how things work. It was like that with the watches, he looked at them, and instinctively knew how they worked.
When it comes to powers, he looks into the brain, pokes about, and sees how it works. Then, understanding the trick, he can do it himself. If I really wanted to be smug, I'd pull up a quote from one of the old threads with me saying exactly the same thing. The whole 'brain eating' theory was just silly, even by Heroes standards.

For those who have missed the first two episodes, you can find them on Hulu.com.

of course the brain eating was silly, why do you think i made it be that in my comic?Rickford wrote:I've said it from the very beginning, Sylar's power is that he can figure out how things work. It was like that with the watches, he looked at them, and instinctively knew how they worked.

I finally watched the first episode of this season and now I can't stop singing "Spider Suresh, spider Suresh, does what ever Spiderman does..."

Re: Heroes Season 3
The network G4, on direct tv as far as I know, has been rerunning the first episode of Heroes. And doesn't every superhero story have a scientist who experiments on himself and becomes a villian?
Re: Heroes Season 3
Suresh becoming a villain would make him a lot more interesting to me.

Also, doesn't the body pump out adrenaline during sex? Why didn't Maya go all black-eyes and kill Suresh?
