I'll probably do it, but I'm not sure I want to submit my writing to them. So maybe I'll just participate on my own and see if I can do it by myself without registering. Y'know, run along side and follow the rules, but no registration. e.e

You're allowed to repeat some words.
I shall have an obsessive-compulsive character who stammers every word he says fifty times!

But truthfully, I'm not even going to try to enter this year. I didn't get a single word done last year because, like so many other people, real life got in the way. And this year, things keep getting exponentially more cluttered and distracting.

Good luck to the rest of y'all, tho'!

you doooooo know that no one reads it? like, at all? all it does is a word count electronically, and then it's deleted. no human ever sees it. O_o

Since I'm literate and all, I guess I might as well try.
That's a lot of words...

I... am in a mood. I have moods now and again. I'll get the idea into my head that I should be writing an album, and that it will be the greatest thing anyone has ever heard. Or the idea that I should be writing a script for an awesome sitcom I've been thinking about, that would rock the socks off the entire world. Or I'll think to myself that I should be painting something that will make the most cold-hearted of people weep.

Currently I am thinking that I should participate in this, and then I will get the book published and live off the proceeds.

... give it five minutes and the mood will pass, and I'll go back to trying to eat cereal from a plate.

They keep picking bad times to have this. We'll see if I try at all as I have about time for one creative project in my head at a time and last year when I had a comic going I didn't get a single word written.

i'm a paranoid freakazoid, but that tends to go away when i know the actual process on how it works. you can also register and not send anything to them. the profiles have a place where you input the number of words you have, or at least it's been like that for the past three years.

just sayin. XD

i think it'd be best if someone did steal them, cause you're not really doing anything with them.

Hmm. I'll have to check my schedule . . .

*opens planner, which has 'unemployed' written across every page*

. . . I think I can squeeze it in!

It will give me a chance to work out that one project which seems to refuse to work in comic form. Maybe novel is a better idea for it . . .

Oh, and with the submitting thing. They suggest, if you want to be super sure no one will read it, that you find-and-replace all the letters so it turns to gibberish. Gibberish - but with the same word count!

I'm in, again, for year four. Maybe this year I'll get past 10,000 words. Not making any promises, what with graduation in December and all that.
On some worlds, what with gnomes and elves and trolls and all, racism is not a problem. White and Black live together in harmony and gang up on green.
