Some folks understandably took it the wrong way.

I, however, explained that this particular situation was in fact not actually that wrong way.

You have decided to ignore that explanation.

You are now being ignored.

Everyone else, please do as Zwuh suggested and continue on topic if you would, thank you. Or a mod should lock it. Either way.

This was a mistake. I would lock it. It was meant to be a place to let out your own stupid little frustrations in life, not rip each other's asses open. Sorry about this. I figured that if we had an unhappy thread to talk about why you're not happy, it might be interesting to have a thread to talk about what annoys you slightly. I thought this forum was mature enough to handle that. (I'm not saying you're all immature. You know who you are.) I was wrong. I would kill it now before everyone kills each other.

Torchy, it's not your fault. Don't worry about it.

Further pet peeves...

Emoness over little things. This includes when I'm being the emo.

Loud breathing or excessive sighing.

People who use your stuff without telling you.

People who say "I'm sorry" so much that it loses all meaning.

People who dress their pets in full costumes during Halloween.

My own voice.

Hmm... I should start making a list of things that DON'T annoy me...
This is going in my notebook titled "Things I Didn't Know about Surface Dwellers."

Yah, man, no worries. This was bound to happen at some point, and it just happened to happen in this thread.

Personally . . . I have nothing that I would really classify as a "pet peeve". The petty stuff doesn't really bug me. By the time I actually decide it's time to say something about something, it most certainly ain't petty anymore.

And drunk sluts of course.

Guilty. :(

Some of my pet peeves:
When I say sorry too much.
People that smack their food.
The word "annoying". It's just an ugly word.
People who use ridiculous logic seriously. "No 9-11 is a conspiracy because if you fold a $20 bill it looks like the twin tower on fire!" ... *twitch*
People that are really rude for no reason.
People who like to tell you what they think about things you do for no reason.
People who thrust their beliefs on you... for no reason.

And there are more I just don't want to list them all. :P
I'm glad 90's style forum signatures don't exist anymore.

Spelling sense, 'sence'. It makes no sense, the spelling is nonsensical. There is no sensitivity to it, it's just insensible.

Describing the plural of lego as 'legos'. It isn't legos. It's lego. I have a castle made of lego. I have lots of lego bricks. I am playing with lego.

Westway on the radio.

People who don't use coasters when they put their drinks on the table.

Emo. Not just "the blues" but true emo. True emo pisses me off.

Putting the flag at half-staff over things that are not national tragedies. A cop who dies does not a half-staff flag day make.

Using a cell-phone while driving. This is especially troublesome to me because I've been hit twice now by cellphone chatting drivers.

The feeling of hopelessness - whether expressed by someone else, or felt by myself. It's a useless, wrong feeling. Things are almost never hopeless.

Anyone who feels they are entitled to things they have not legitimately earned on their own. This includes the basics like food, shelter, the right to procreate, and medical care.

Giving something a hundred and ten percent. No. 100% is the MAXIMUM. If you're not paraplegic by the end, its not 110%

When people don't get what liberalism really is. For instance, you know, "Fuckin' liberals wanna make me git rid of meh gun rack" No dumbass, true liberalism means that if you want a gun, you CAN get it.

I also hate people who think they're liberals, but dont get what it really is.

I also hate that DAMN Maltese accent. Seriously. It's horrible. It's like seein 1337speak shoot out of people's mouths.

It's something very silly but It really makes me feel angry

Most things I would normally consider to be a pet peeve, I find funny.

Bureacracy, though. I stay away from the stuff at work and fill out the bare minimum of paperwork to get through my job.

Oh, and customer support. Even Apple, which is suposedly renowned for their customer support (although possibly not in Australia for all I know), managed to lie to me repeatedly.

Maybe Apple has better customer support than some companies... But I wouldn't really describe them as having all that good customer support. More like, "If you get lucky, you'll get good customer support."

when i started reading this thread mr.bob was not a pet peeve of mine.

he is now.

Other peeves

People who smell. And I'm not just talking about body odor, some people can't help that, i mean people who go out of their way to smell bad, wearing too much cologne, too much perfume, smoking, smoking pot, that kind of thing.

People who use other people's time and resources as if they're the most important people in the world. And then are inconsiderate or condescending about it when confronted. Or just flat out lie or deny the whole thing.

People who don't accept the fact that your life may have other priorities beyond something they're involved with.

People who micromanage and then expect you to "take ownership" of what you're doing.

Most of these pertain to my workplace, which in itself is becoming a pet peeve of mine.

Much like Sparrow it'd probably be easier for me to talk about what doesn't annoy me, cause most of the things people have listed so far piss me off too.

Cept for Bob's lego thing, that just makes me annoyed with him.

I really don't get it when people do this. I mean, the cologne thing, I generally just chalk it up to 'they like the scent and have a weak sense of smell.' But what excuse does anyone have for stinking of cigarettes? You know they smell bad, you know they're *carcinogenic*, you know that other people walking down the street or trying to enjoy their meals don't want to smell them anymore than you want me filling a restaurant with flatulence, so why do people persist in doing it?

It's especially aggravating to me because I used to live in Boston, where smoking in restaurants was illegal, and now I live in VA...

Ah... how about this -

People who, when told about the rules of your house or property, ask to get around them.

This applies particularly to smoking in my car. I don't smoke, and don't like the smell of smoke. There's no smoking in my car. Why do smokers keep asking if they can smoke in my car "if they roll the window down"?

Can I rub your sandwich in my armpit, if I wear a shirt?
