AOL could stand for Australia OnLine...but the point's negligible, as I'm sticking with Netspace.

I don't know why but this made me spray mountain dew on the monitor screen.

My parents know. Neither of them read it, but they know.

I actually WANT my Mom to read it. She would, too, if I ever got off the computer.

My dad...well, right now not in a million years. Maybe when he grows beyond the mental age of twelve. I am not as much mad at him as I am weirded out. Trust me. You don't want to know.

America OnLine Mexico.

Though, technically, it's North America, so it's still correct. Kinda.
But Mexico is latin america, so it would have to be LAOL.
You know, i should work on this.

I'm 99.99999% certain my mother doesn't know, though she does have my AIM screen name and could find my site quite easily. My dad... don't know, don't care. He did find War's site once, though, through googling War's name. Probably wanted to make sure he wasn't a convicted sex offender or something, I'm sure...

I'm not sure why the creators of AOL would put the word 'America' in it, as it would make international distribution awkward. Ditto with Legally Blonde 2.

my dad and step mom know about it but my real mom does not. If she saw it she would freak and would think I was turning into a satanist or something.

Well. He's a Republican. Well, so am I, but he's REPUBLICAN. Think Talk Radio, Rush Limbaugh, John Birch Socioty mailing list...he once tried to talk me and my brother into spending summer at Republi--I mean, American Government and civi--no, I mean Republican Camp.

So anyway I sent him an ironic story I had heard, about the Supreme Court Ruling that local government can use iminent domain to take privet property away from one privet owner and give it to another owner (read: Corperation) as long as the new owner will use it to generate more tax dollars, and how a guy is using it to take the privet property away from one of the judges who ruled in the majority so he can build a hotel dedicated to the loss of property rights in America. I thought it would be funny. Heck, I thought it was funny, because I think that was a Bad Thing To Do.

He sent me back an email saying "That's my girl. Stay Vigiulant and Special. I love you. Daddy".

I still cannot figure out what the heck THAT means.

Not at the moment...I'll probably show it to them eventually...if only to prove all the time I spend on the computer isn't entirely wasted. I'll probably wait until I have a good archive before I start showing the comic around to people I know in real life though.

I would have had a similar reaction, if I'd been drinking anyway.

I think my mom knows about my comic, because she saw me working on the webpage and asked what I was doing, and I said, "Webcomic".

Maybe he's proud of you for being able to see the humor in it? Well, -I- thought it was funny, anyway. Sure got the point across too, I actually find myself hoping the tools on the SCOTUS actually do get evicted by their own ruling.

My parents know. My mother doesn't really get it, but reads it faithfully everytime there's an update.

Which, you know, would be really sweet, except that she asks me to explain what's going on in the current strip, unintentionally sapping my confidence . . .

*sighs*
