Porridge - Red River is very good, but I don't know if it's available where you are (Good for stomach bacteria.)
Oatmeal (Good for stomach bacteria.)
All-Bran
Almond milk (Lots of healthy fats, helps replace some of the fatty acids and proteins you'll be missing on a low-fish diet.)
Yogurt
Kale
Spinach
Cress (Maybe)
Dandelion greens (Maybe)
Steamed meats (Very low fat, excellent method for chicken and pork, not so good for beef.)
Poached meats (Again, excellent for chicken and pork, terrible for beef.)
Barley bread, rye bread, whole wheat bread (Again, good for stomach bacteria. Stay the hell away from white bread, it'll just make your gut worse.)
Strawberries
Raspberries and blackberries (Same fruit, different suntan.)
Cranberries (Maybe - Can be very acidic.)
Chokecherries
Almonds
Walnuts
Hazel nuts
Pine nuts
Soft cheeses (Maybe - Check with your doctor.)
Wild rice
Steamed fruits (Maybe - Check with your doctor.)
It's actually a very good diet once you get used to it. And after a few weeks on a low-fat diet, the smell of ordinary food will start to turn your stomach. Rancid grease...
Don't forget that peanuts are NOT A NUT! They're a legume (Pea/bean). I'm starch intolerant, basically a mild form of what you've got, and peanuts do nasty things to me. Peanut butter is just evil...
Based on my own experiences and talking to other people, processed food (Especially simple starches) are the worst offenders. If you don't know how to cook, then learn. Those prepackaged supermarket foods will kill you slowly. That's not an exaggeration.

You've described an awful lot of nuts, for a low-fat diet.
Nuts tend to have "good" fat, but they do have a lot of fat, and a lot of a good thing can be bad for you too.

True. I probably should have added more (Maybe - Ask your doctor) tags. I know a few people who've been on really low-fat low-fat diets (As in 'no oatmeal because it's too fatty') and nuts were an important part of their diets. But always double-check with your doctor when it comes to these sort of things.Rkolter wrote:You've described an awful lot of nuts, for a low-fat diet.

One other thing you might want to look into - Sodium laurel sulfate AKA sodium laureth sulfate. It's a surfactant (Soap) used in toothpastes, including the so-called organic pastes and toothpowders. It's a very effective cleanser but it's also a very effective irritant. If you have allergies, stomach problems, or gum problems it can really aggravate things. I know a couple of people who've stopped using it because of gut problems, and that seems to have helped (Not cured, but definitely helped). One friend has had chronic canker sores since he was a child, and those cleared up within three weeks of switching from toothpaste to homemade toothpowder. I switched to homemade toothpowder because, while I like soap I don't want it in my mouth.
Did you know it's not normal to have little strips of skin peel themselves off the roof of your mouth? I didn't. My entire life I've had strips of skin just peel away from my palate - Long thin strips of raw skin dangling from the roof of my mouth. I thought it was normal. I switched to the toothpowder about three months ago and it hasn't happened since.
I don't guarantee it will help your problem, but it's a cheap thing to try that won't hurt and might help.
1 part salt
3 parts baking soda, not powder
Pinch of cinnamon (Cinnamon is a good antibiotic, but it can also irritate your mouth. You may want to skip it.)
Some people add hydrogen peroxide just before they brush to make it into a paste. That's a little harsh for everyday use though.

Well tried work and that was all kinds of horror and hilarity.
1. Forgot ham was not a lean meat. So yeah, didn't have much to eat.
2. Learned work doesn't cover one of my drugs by choice (they have a list of drugs they do cover, going to try and find an alternate) but they will cover one by 60%, and my health plan provides yearly credits (read: overpaying into health benefits that i can spend?) which i used to pay for the other one.
3. Asked my superior if I could leave at 3 instead of 7 using my last 4 hours vacation, heck, i'd leave at 5, 6, but asked for 3 because I was in agony without one of my perscriptions, and now I could afford it.
4. The fucker said no.
5. My underlings and friends caught wind and raised hell and were extremely vocal with him apparently.
6. One trip in the company car later I has drugs. Hooray for lynching!
