Yes, but it was still an exclusive wii title that had the Soul Calibur branding. I'm just saying.
Also, I totally got SC4 today. Good times!

Maybe you gals should hang out in GD more often. There's this one thread that's attracting Genners MIA by the quarter dozen.

I played Soul Calibur II and didn't like it. I'm really not all that crazy about fighting games in general. Just about the only ones I really like are Mortal Kombat II and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Re: So... Soul Calibur
I picked up a copy on release for the PS3 and have been playing every chance I get. I do wish it still had the cool single player campaign that SCIII did, but whatever. This game kicks ass and looks brilliant. I just hope they patch it to include trophies soon. I needs my trophy action!!!

I remember playing as Taki in Soul Edge and I've played the first two Soul Caliburs, are they making this for the wii? I want my ass-kicking-mamory-enhanced-ninja badass

Re: So... Soul Calibur
Once again, no. Soul Calibur IV isn't heading to the Wii, the Wii's hardware is too weak to handle it and I doubt Nintendo cares enough to try and bring it to their system (they're more interestd in simple casual games, not the core). Soul Calibur Legends, while not a traditional Soul Calibur is availible on the Wii and it does feature Taki.Birdie wrote:I remember playing as Taki in Soul Edge and I've played the first two Soul Caliburs, are they making this for the wii? Sigh... I love the Wii, but how can Nintendo expect me to stay loyal with only fantastic gameplay on all but a few cop-out games? [endsarcasm]
I admit, there are some things about the Wii that makes me wish I had a PS3 (NO XBOX360! MICROSOFT WILL ASSIMILATE YOU!) but then I go play Metroid Prime 3 and I forget all those problems.

Re: So... Soul Calibur
Well it could do with some good games, that'd probably help.
Re: So... Soul Calibur
The Nintendo Wii is actually showing similar trends of the Atari 2600 in that games are so easy to make for the thing that everyone that can is publishing a bunch of super simple games for it (if you doubt me take a stroll over to your local game stores and compare the ratio of "core" games to what would only be included as a minigame in said "core" games) and most of them really suck. The Atari 2600 gaming populous, without the assistance of gaming journalism to asses the quality of games, went with the odds that if they purchased a new game it would suck and so they stopped buying. This led to the great gaming crash that nearly killed the market until Mario came along.
Ironically Nintendo is doing the same in the games published for their system and their target audience of non-gamers. These are the people who tend not to research their games or keep up on gaming news and instead go with the old method of looking at the box art and crossing your fingers. So Nintendo is in real danger of doing some serious damage to themselves, their record low game to system sales ratio is a testament to this, and their new responce of focusing even less on the gaming core and more on everyone else is only resulting in them digging deeper into their own grave. Case in point: All they had for us at E3 was Animal Crossing. Who thought that was a good idea?

I would love to play, however, being based in Tasmania I don't think we could have a lag free game.
If you live in the Australia land though, let me know.

Re: So... Soul Calibur
Hey, I just got No More Heroes for the Wii, that's at least an excellent gory game to play for it. (I wonder how many Wii fans heard of that before now...)
I'm currently on the Soul Calibur 4 for the PS3 (PSN: DJMayhem) and honestly, the game is fucking laggy as hell anyways. I've been able to play many games on my PS3, but I get a lot of drops or lagtastic games for SC4. It needs to be patched.

You know, i should work on this.
Re: So... Soul Calibur
I've had absolutely no lag in SCIV as of yet. None. Its prestine for me. For the record I use a wired connection with 16MBpS.

I've had no lag on my online matches too. Guess it all depends who you try to fight.
