For the uninitiated (and those who may have forgotten), a couple years back I started collecting all the weird mispronunciations, mistakes, and malapropisms that customers use when trying to tell us poor, helpless movie theater employees just what show they want to see. At the beginning of each year, I then post all these misnames for the enjoyment and enlightenment of others!
Unfortunately, since I started working up in the projection booth exclusively partway through last year, I don't have as many new ones as I would have been able to get otherwise. But that hasn't stopped me from collecting as many as I could, and hopefully what I've got is entertaining enough to make up for it.
Misnames have been alphabetized according to real movie name for your protection. All new misnames have been bolded for the convenience of those who have already read the old lists.
Enjoy!

Vanity Fair (As much as this confused me, I think it confused the lady who said it even more. She was standing a little ways back in the line with her friends and asked them if they were going to see Vanity Fair, just to make sure she bought the right ticket. Before they could answer, she shook her head and quickly corrected herself, saying they were going to see P&P. Then, when they finally got up to the counter, she almost said Vanity Fair again! Honestly, where does a mix up like this come from?)

(So, I sold tickets to this nice elderly couple one day and they headed back to theater five. A few minutes after the movie had started, the lady came back up and asked me what theater their movie was in. I told her it was down in five and she just looked confused and walked back. Five minutes later, here she comes back up and asks which theater her movie is in, and I tell her number five again and she just shakes her head and says, "Oh, no . . . that's some kind of space movie!" So we finally get it sussed out that when she said she had wanted to see 'Serenity' before, what she really meant was she wanted to see 'An Unfinished Life'! Yeesh.)
