Kisai is not pleased...

One request though, please don't make it a clone. Please, please, PLEASE leave clones out of this little aspect of the plot. Introduce someone who hasn't been in the plot yet like McDuffies or something, I don't care. But please...

no clones.
I wasn't planning clones per se, but I'm sure that my idea of an alternate universe is just as apalling. Comic Genesis would be Comic Apocalypse and after establishing itself as the only producer of internets (next to microsoft), they're looking to go for a hostile takeover in fresh markets.

It wouldn't be as bland as clones, since the alternate counterparts differ in some way (polar opposites would be too cliché) while still resembling their CG-reality counterparts.

Main reason why I'd want to push this is because a design for the CA logo popped up in my mind while I was thinking about it and it would be a bit of a shame to let it go to waste:

But since it's not my jam alone I'll let things develop until tomorrow morning (Central European Time) before I decide whether to add that plotline.

Toxic already did a storyline like that in his one man jam from like a year ago. Many catgirls were killed in MH's terrible rise to power. Also Kisai was evil. Ryan was pretty much the same though.

I remember that! It was really cool.

I seriously think this is one of the major contributing factors to jams either not happening or having extremely short lives anymore. We haven't been able to recapture all the greatness and longevity of the old jams because people just keep thinking about everything too hard. If folks would just loosen up and do whatever the fucking hell it is they want to do, things would go a lot smoother.
Existence is a series of catastrophes through which everything barely but continually survives.

Also if people stopped saying "I have an idea I am working on I'll get it up later" that would help. Basically that slows the pace and stifles creativity. Jams are also largely built on speed. Wasn't the Keen Reality one practically a mad dash to get your stuff first and cement a joke? Also people seem way to action oriented. I'll admit though it's been a hell of a long time since I tried to participate in jam and my speed often did not allow me to be a strong player. But that didn't matter to me, what mattered was shoving something I thought was funny into what was happening and seeing it stick, albeit loosely.

My advice in short, stop posting that you might post later, and just have some god damn fun with it. Frankly all this stuff is preventing the people who are the most practiced from doing anything here, and well this post does that as well, so this is my final 2 cents on it. Good luck, have fun, and maybe I'll actually contribute if this picks up who knows?

There are less jams than there used to be, I'm afraid- and I've only really been active here for about a year. I don't know what it is.

From what I recall:
Mind Your Manors- June (?)-Dec 2006
Comic Genesis Saves Winter (this year's winter is doing fine, thank you) Dec 2006-Jan 2007, unfinished
Presidential Jam- Feb-March
CG Votes Jam- March-Apr
CG Goes Old School Jam- May, unfinished
CG Superheroes Jam (NOT the Captain America one, which I'm not counting)- May, unfinished
CG Zone- July
The Shoe Must Be Stopped- Sept/October
and now this one.

Even counting the Cap, which at least some wouldn't, there have only been four jams in the last six months. Perhaps they've fallen out of fashion?

I think them falling out of fashion was partially (if not fully) my fault. I didn't quite understand how Jams were formed and tried to make them on a whim.

Oh, and I still plan on doing a comic, but it's 3:30 AM and I've been focusing on doing Lightbringer pages. Don't worry, I'm not saying I'll do a comic because I'm holding people or anything, I'm just saying I do have plans to continue the jam.

Actually, I found the debate rather helpful. Since the whole alternate universe thing has already been done, it gave me an idea for killing off the "doubles":

Actually it does, 'cuz see I already established that Mort snuck into the building to release the Genchans and use them as leverage over Neko for a corperate take over by a currently unknown figure.

Saying they were released later than that for an unintentional reason contradicts all that or at the very least renders it nonsencical.
